“I can't recommend Hub Hobby enough! I'm still pretty new to the RC hobby, and after buying a Traxxas Slash Ultimate off marketplace a couple weeks back, I decided to completely rebuild the truck myself after countless hours of researching and learning. As someone who's just getting started, I wanted someone to bounce some questions off of and take a look at my rebuild to double-check a couple things i was unsure of. I brought it into the shop and asked Samuel if he could take a look while I stopped to pick up some parts. Instead of just giving it a quick once-over, Samuel took the time to inspect everything and explain what I had done well, added a couple suggestions i wouldn't have thought of as a newbie. He made me feel genuinely proud of all the work I had put into rebuilding my truck, and that meant a lot as a beginner. (I left the store and immediately texted my wife about how proud of myself i was after Samuel's praises.) He was encouraging, incredibly knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel inexperienced. That kind of customer service is hard to find. Samuel's passion for the hobby and willingness to help people learn is exactly what keeps new hobbyists excited and coming back. Thanks to him, Hub Hobby has become my go-to RC shop. Whether you're just getting started or you've been in the hobby for years, I highly recommend stopping by. Ask for Samuel—you won't be disappointed!”

“Such an incredibly fun, unique store. Full of interesting, odd and silly finds. Everything from pool floaties to old pens to miscellaneous computer parts. I didn’t have my kids along, but I saw a family there with young kids and they LOVED getting to pick out little knick knacks. Everything is super reasonably priced and we loved reading all of the silly price cards. Would definitely recommend a stop if you are in the area. You won’t regret it.”

“I had only ever heard of Blicks from my late sister. She was a painter, did drawings etc. I was under the impression that it was more expensive than going to Michael's. Oh my god was I wrong. They're prices were comparable. But I found products I couldn't find at other places. Some items that others didn't carry the selection I needed. I wanted Copic markers that I couldn't find, I found hand made papers, Jelly roll pens etc. I like the ability to see before I buy the actual colors of the markers I was going to buy. Buying on line just doesn't work to buy colors that work together. I make cards and paint in the stamps with Copics. I'm so excited about finally going to Blicks. I'll be back again soon.”

“Great place. I have always wanted something from arms and armor and I happened to be working in the area. I saw that they had a spear and javelin in stock so I asked if I could pick it up in person to avoid shipping. They of course said yes and so I I went in person to buy a spear and javelin.... I was not expecting a tour of the workshop and all the different things that they have experimented with over the years. It was truly fantastic... and they happened to have a sword for sale right then. I happened to come in during their preparations for a ren faire so I also had the privilege of buying a sword. I bought 4 items a knightly riding sword, a celtic spear, greek javelin,and regular javelin. Every one is fantastic. Their quality is second to none. I have a lot of swords and I am very picky when it comes to blades. I can recommend anything they make without reservation. Truly hand made by professional blade smiths.”

“While I myself am not a big hobby/craft kind of person, I like this store for an alternate UPS Delivery location. Its great that way for when UPS has issues making normal delivery to your home for whatever reason, or with more intention for when you don't want a particular package sitting on a doorstep for hours unattended. And while I'm there at Michael's, its a good opportunity to pick up some odds & ends (like today, getting a nice 16x24 picture frame for the print art delivered there by UPS). Their selection is pretty good, but can be a little pricey depending on what you're looking to get. If you go, I suggest taking a little extra time to browse and see if some catches your eye. Odds are, something will.”
