Charles Lindbergh, the aviator, grew up at this location, and his boyhood home and museum are now under the direction of the Morrison County Historical Society. There are worth a visit. Lindbergh state park (across the road) has camping spots and lots of wooded area and trails to walk. It's a great getaway for a summer day.

My favorite state park near a city. The park is beautiful. And if you want more, there are museums and a zoo nearby.Dog-friendliness: Leash required

It was extremely hot during our stay but our campsite was shady! We just did some walking around the park. It's very well groomed!Restrooms: Sooo very clean and the showers were great. Water temp was perfect!

Just a quick stop on our way home, to stretch legs, interesting history, but got oddly hassled by a not terribly friendly dnr employee who thought we didn't have a park sticker (we did). The place was practically empty.

We only visited the old ccc / WPA buildings in the parking area. Looks to have lots of nice trails and not far from little falls

It's a really nice park and wasn't too busy. Hike is easy enough for anyone that can walk. Trails are all dirt and marked clearly.

Awesome little park ... Loved it! Got there early in the morning on a spring day. Lots of cool history about Lindbergh to read along the way. Did the hiking club trail which was perfect - mostly flat & along the stream and Old growth forest. Lots of birds ... Could have sat by the stream and watched them all day!! There where a few muddy patches along the trail but it's to be expected in the spring!2023 Back to Camp. Campgrounds are very nice. Most sites have nice green space between each site for privacy. The sites along the outer loop are the best. Restrooms very clean. And park patrol drove through several times. Lots of families but pretty peaceful.

Camped here for 2 nights and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. Campsites have plenty of shade and are separated by trees. Bathrooms were cleaned every day. The only downside was that the office is only open for a few hours each day, but most services, including buying firewood, can be done online or through an app.

This is a nice park. The campground doesn't have a ton of sites, but they are very private. A lot of space between sites. There are several hiking trails through the woods and along the creek. A decent picnic area outside the campground as well. Not too far from town if you find you need to get something.Restrooms: Restrooms are pretty typical of a state park. Two shower stalls, with the button you push for water. Doesn't stay on very long at all.Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs around.Picnic area: Large picnic area just outside the campground.

Small state park but great for a long weekend. Being there in the spring some trails were still pretty muddy but we expected that. I loved that there was no bugs yet. The campground is small but the sites are a decent size and when all the leaves grow in I bet feel fairly private. We were there too early for the bathrooms to be open so I can't speak about those but the vault toilets were some of the cleanest I've seen and I've done a lot of camping at state parks. Overall I had a great time and will definitely be back again.

Rustic, historic, long standing WPA park. Lots of trails to hike. I visited briefly at the lunch area and am eager to return for a longer hike. Great options for short hikes to stretch your legs on a road trip.
