Superior Lakeside Cabins offers a traditional and affordable cabin getaway right on the shore of Lake Superior. The location is consistently praised as the prime feature, with cabins situated directly on the lakeshore. Guests wake to the sound of the lake, loons, and birds, and enjoy stunning sunrises and starry nights. The setting is convenient for exploring North Shore attractions like Tettegouche State Park, Caribou Falls, and the towns of Finland and Schroeder. The cabins themselves are original, showing some wear but described as comfortable, charming, and the "real deal." They provide a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable living areas, indoor fireplaces, and decks for dining and water watching. Accommodations range from smaller units like The Nest to larger family cabins with multiple bedrooms; some cabins front directly on the lake, while others are set closer to the highway. The property is dog-friendly. Management is noted as friendly and helpful, with minimal check-out chores, though some guests report occasional difficulties with communication and payment, wishing for an online system. The cabins represent excellent value, meeting needs for a cozy, no-fuss retreat. The immediate waterfront allows for rockhounding and simply soaking in the majestic, soothing presence of Lake Superior, making it a cherished place guests return to year after year.
Right on Lake Superior! The owner answered my text right away when I had a question. The cabin could use updates, but it was what I expected for the price. Very good value!

Booked in February for Memorial Day weekend. Had a little trouble with communications, but it all worked out. Great location, could not be any closer to the lakeshore!! Cabin is old and original but met all our needs. Lots of fun things to see with an hour’s drive.

We enjoyed this cabin that was right on the lake. If you leave your window or the screen door cracked, you can hear the lake. The cabin was basically a tiny house, with everything from a kitchenette to a loft. Very nice location as well, about halfway between Grand Portage and Duluth.
