Always great to stay, Josh and Michelle are always very hospitable and he'll you with whatever you need. They do activities for adults and kids. Great fishing and relaxing. Our cabin was a rambler and came with a golf cart. Sunsets are amazing, and the harbor is great with new decking. Boats are for rent if needed, and have supplies, treats and gifts in the lodge. Beach is amazing, and sand is soft and clean. Would highly recommend!

I've been coming up to Leech for years and have to say the Chippewa Lodge is a real gem.
The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed, the usual kitchen with stove, oven and a small living room with a dining table that would comfortably fit 4. The whole place was really clean including the bathroom that had a standup shower (no tub in ours which we preferred anyway). Two bedrooms, one with a bed big enough to comfortably fit a couple and a second bedroom with a bunk bed that had a bigger mattress on the bottom for two and a smaller one up top. You could easily fit a family or a couple friends in there. There was a nice deck including outdoor table and deck chairs with a great view of the water. There was a fire pit and a charcoal Weber grill which was in great condition, no rusty grate here!
I came for a fishing trip with my Dad and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. For two guys looking to fish all day and be close to some hot spots it was perfect. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even got up extra early one morning just to pick something up for the boat for us. We rented the boat there and we were super happy with it. For two guys and a big dog we had more than enough room to fish comfortably and were never in each other's way.
This is definitely somewhere I would bring kids. They have a well kept little beach with a huge inflatable playset in the water not to far off shore. They've done a great job creating a community feeling for guests like us who were only there for a week. Every single day they have some sort of event planned. While we were there they had a potluck dinner, a Cornhole tournament, a painting event (that was a packed house!), and some other events geared towards kids like a coin hunt on their beach.
Overall I was incredibly impressed and would recommend this place for families or, like us, just two guys looking to fish all day. We loved it so much we booked our trip for next year at check out.

Highly recommend
Chippewa Lodge is just as a wilderness resort should be.
It doesn’t matter if you’re there for birdwatching, fishing, or to see the northern lights.
The resort is old school, customer oriented, with modern, clean, comfortable cabins and a stunning view of the legendary Leech Lake.
If you’re a fisherman or fishing family this resort will impress with its perfect marina, high quality rental boats and always available bait and fuel.
I have 50 years of visiting northern resorts and I give Josh and Michelle my highest marks.

Two Points Cabin is outstanding! I highly recommend this cabin and resort. It is spacious, it is comfortable, everything new, private bedrooms, 2 full baths and a huge deck.
Owners are really nice people. I know I will be back.

The owners are top notch and will drop what they are doing to help you and make sure you enjoy your stay. Year after year they make improvements to the grounds, which is fun to see. I think the majority of guests are drawn to Chippewa for fishing, but my family has enjoyed coming here for years and we don’t fish. Great lodging on a beautiful lake has been more than enough for our family to enjoy getting together to play cards and get away from the cities. Easy drives to Longville (12 min) and Walker (20 min) provide opportunities to get groceries, shop, go out to eat, explore trails, golf, and much more. This is a great place to start a family tradition of getting together each year, just like mine did for many, many years.

we were looking for a long weekend anniversary weekend on leech lake...looked at a dozen resorts and this stood out plus the area of lake im familiar with ....we had the one bedroom cabin directly on the shore ..perfect for a couple....very clean and stocked cabin ..the owners are super accommodating and help with anything they can...
this resort is very nice and we will return asap.....

Stayed with another couple in the Steamboat Bay Cabin for three days. LOVED the woodwork and view. Great upstairs loft style bedroom for kids. Large deck with nice firepit area too. Noticed the entire cabin does have a lean to the front and a few minor issues. Mostly with the sink handle and patio door. Really nice to have use of our own golf cart to drive around. Great fishing in the harbor off the docks. Very happy to find they are pet friendly! Great job! We will definitely be back.
