Be very careful. Cabin sweet cabin. They get all your money up front by 30 days in advance. Then no refund. This was not as advertised.
No cell service. Entry code didn't work. Miles to get any cell service. Cabin had A very rundown look. Again no refund. NEVER AGAIN

We rented the Lutsen Cliffhouse #679 near the Lutsen Lodge. It was a wonderful experience. ! The condo is a quiet end unit with Views of Lake Superior from every bedroom. Very clean with beautiful updated furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds very comfortable and having three full bathrooms was wonderful!!
The condo is located near so many attractions, we were close to great activities, hikes and restaraunts. The spa room Jacuzzi is a bonus to unwind and relax! We saw the Moon over the lake and beautiful sunrises! Loved every minute of our stay in October.

Poplar River Condos. Property is quiet, clean, and well maintained. Great views of Lake Superior, nice trail with some benches to sit by the lake, and they are pet friendly for a very reasonable charge, which is very hard to find on the north shore. Unfortunately, the furniture in our room wasn’t very comfortable, especially the bed, and the shower didn’t get very warm. Also, the fireplace didn’t work at all, and due to fire restrictions we were not allowed to have a campfire at all. It would have been nice to have some kind of fire by the big lake, especially on the chilly nights. We survived, but it was disappointing. I would give the Poplar River Condos four stars for the nice location and clean property, and for the great pet friendly policy. But have to knock down one star for the uncomfortable furniture and lack of a hot shower.

We stayed at Lucie's Loft in Grand Marais and loved it! Great walking distance to the harbor, and very spacious. Great place for family and friends! Highly recommend!

Our unit was clean and had a beautiful view of Lake Superior. The property had a very nice walking path down and along the lake shore with seating and a spot for a camp fire.

We were more than happy with the accommodations with only a few exceptions. While I had previously communicated with Cascade Vacation Rentals about the need to have a stand alone shower, we never heard back. The unit (606) at Poplar River Condos we had been switched to (because we were informed the owner was bringing their dog, and we specifically asked for pet free room) looked like it was the same unit as we had booked (601). They are not the same studio.
We also found that unlike most VRBO no glass ware or plates are supplied. That was no big inconvenience, though. Here’s my recommendation as a 72 and 75 year old couple with knee replacements, ask if you are getting a walk in shower and also how many steps you need to navigate to your room. That’s it! I loved the patio and the heavy chairs.

We have stayed at Foxfire at least 5 times and have seen it go downhill over the years. Windows that don’t operate, missing screens, Cheap replacement appliance that are too small for their openings, outlets that don’t work, new replacement furniture that is very cheap and uncomfortable… for what is charged I would have expected that the property would be better watched over..we were very disappointed.

Cascade Vacation Rentals was super easy to work with, as I did everything online with them. They had easy instructions to get into the house, and we had a great stay at Morning Light. Being right on the water was amazing!! Would rent from them again as the website was easy to use, and had many properties to choose from.

We had another wonderful week at Devil's Track Lake cabin 207. Perfect weather and lots of family fun. Campfire every night with lots of shooting stars! The grandkids loved the easy access to the lake and the playground!

Our Poplar River Condo at Lutsen was clean, nicely appointed, private and quiet. It has an amazing view of Lake Superior. We enjoyed eating meals on the deck, listening to the waves lap against the shore, and seeing the light of the moon shine over the water’s surface. So beautiful and relaxing.

Cascade is easy to work with when you first rent and fill out the contract. The biggest complaint is their follow through. They ask you to do a survey and list any issues/complaints, but that is where it ends. After you let them know if there were issues, you never know if anything was done or corrected, because they never acknowledge/respond back to you. I feel like they don't really care if there is anything to fix/correct. I am not one to complain about a property unless something is wrong. The most recent place we stayed, all the dishes were dirty (we had to clean them before we used them), as of today (3 weeks later), we have not heard anything. There were a couple other issues or concerns (Bra left underneath bed/dirty/no curtains on bedroom windows etc..)at a few other properties in the last few years that we let Cascade know about, and never heard back. We have used many other management companies all over the US and whether it is a good review or had a concern they always respond so we know something was at least done or acknowledged. We will try to use VRBO/Airbnb/other sources in the future until Cascade fixes some of their customer service issues.

We rented unit 585 at Poplar River Condos for my husband’s 65th birthday. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the unit. We loved all the windows which brought in beautiful natural light as well as the north shores natural air conditioning! The king bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and new appliances. We hung out on the deck a lot and appreciated the enclosed railing so are dog was safe to just chill out! We told several friends about PRC and we will definitely be back in the future!

We stayed at the Cedar Shores Chalet and it was fabulous! The home was beautiful. It was very well equipped. We were very comfortable there. It was right on the lake and had seating outside. It's very close to Lutsen and Grand Marais so there's a ton to do in the area. We'd highly recommend it. The only negative was having to drive our trash out about five miles down the road.

Cameras were mentioned on the property. Unfortunately our car got keyed and the fact the place didn't have cameras the police were not able to help. Screens kept popping out of windows due to parts missing. , most of the lights were flickering when ever there was wind. Loose faucets in bathroom and kitchen. For the price of the condo you would think it would be nicer
