If your going to the North Shore make sure to stop here for breakfast or at least stop in to check out their store and grab a coffee. Very welcoming staff and such a homey place.

Got breakfast sandwiches and coffee to go. Basic but very tasty and the service was friendly. Although it was busy they got our order ready fairly quickly. Would recommend if you want a quick breakfast that tastes great and fills you up.

I've been coming to the Lockport for nearly 30 years (and I'll be 35 in just a few months). The owners, Nan and Deb, are usually around, either in the kitchen, at the cash wrap, or chatting with customers. In years past you could find their kind pup Gunny hanging around. When you're here, you're at home. It's got the homey diner feel with great breakfast options (lunch too, but I'm a big fan of their breakfasts). I love their French toast, but my partner swears by the Nate plate (if biscuits and gravy are your thing - don't miss this option). It's also a great stop to fill up on gas and get some groceries or basic needs (just in case you forgot sunscreen). Regulars keep custom self- designed Lockport mugs hanging on the wall (if you find Lonny's, that's my dad). The rest of the staff at the Lockport are just as lovely as Nan and Deb. If you're driving past on 61, don't miss out on this little stop. If you want to enjoy the outdoors, you can also sit on the deck and enjoy the hummingbirds. I want to add: Things are not fast moving here. That's the beauty and the joy of the North Shore. If you want New York pace, this isn't the stop for you. Patience is a virtue. Embrace the culture of the shop. It's not a traditional restaurant. Water is serve yourself. If you want something from the grocery side for your meal (soda, Gatorade, etc), it's serve yourself.

A very nice and cozy marketplace and deli. The food is made fresh. We came here for breakfast and would recommend getting a seat inside or outside, either way, the food is pretty good! The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito is very well done. We didn't mind the prices as it's one of the only local delis around here where you can get hot food(s) on the go.The deli does have a space for you to eat. Some tables are big enough to seat 4 and some are for 2. The room inside is tiny but cozy!We were surprised at how many items were available to buy, from cereals, veggies, sauces and beverages to smaller camping/hiking equipment.Overall, an excellent place to come by before you leave or when you arrive! Would definitely order ahead if you can but either way, if you have time, it's worth the wait for the food.

Awesome little market! Super friendly gal working! They have a little restaurant that serves breakfast/lunch until 1pm, but you can still get a Finnish pastie anytime after that...so tasty! They also sell baked goods (carmel roll was delicious), local maple syrup, etc.

We stopped for breakfast and had very good food, good conversation with our waitress, and just really enjoyed the atmosphere. Very down home! We would stop again.

Lots of people claim to offer meals like grandma made. Lockport delivers. Probably even better than most grandmas. Don’t pass this small restaurant by when in the Northwoods. I recommend anything on the menu. I enjoyed the moose omelette with hash browns today - so good. The building was built in 1928 and the owners have kept up all of the original tables, walls, floors, and windows. It’s a trip back in time. And the food is excellent too. If you’re traveling north, it’s off to the right just before you get to the main strip of Lutsen on highway 61.

Best little breakfast place and general store! Nan is wonderful to talk to and the place is full of charm and character! Worth a stop.

Service was great. History and stories were fun but the food was very basic. But what makes it less than a 5 is the pricing for what you get. $40 for a breakfast sandwich, scrambled eggs and sausage isn't a good mix.

Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Nate plate is my go to every time we visit, but everything is really good. Homemade food and the staff are very friendly. It’s a nice small place that is easy to overlook, but stopping is definitely worth it!

Food was decent and the place is cute,, but they neglected to tell me that 1 oz of almond milk instead of creamer with my coffee was an additional $2.95 and honey for my coffee instead of sugar was also an additional $2.95 - I ended up paying $9.00 for a cup of coffee - yikes
