The store is filthy.. the floor is thick with dirt.
The staff is rude.
The isles look like a flea market, cluttered and disorganized.
You can hardly walk down the isles because they are always blocked by carts full of products.
The prices are incorrect on products across the whole store.
They won't honor incorrect pricing without a belittling argument.
One of the staff members was clearly intoxicated, falling asleep while standing up and speaking nonsense words.
Many staff are treated poorly by management as seen by myself and several people, witness to the mistreatment of older employees or employees who have physical or mental challenges.
The community deserves better.
This store has been a mess for several years.

Went for mustard and chip dip. No mustard or chip dip in stock. Two totally random items that I guess everyone else needed as well. Very odd to be out of stock of those two things.

Bathrooms were disgusting, trash was overflowing and it looked like someone sprayed poop on the wall next to the toilet.

The cashier accused me of being a thief, said my credit card (corporate amex) was fake and that I was trying to steal $3,000 today. I was actually just trying to purchase visa gift cards as Christmas gifts for my employees. I could have bought them in SD today but I waited until I got back to Luverne because I prefer to shop small to help the community. Ultimately I had to call the sheriff because the clerk refused to issue me a refund after over charging my card by $600.0040 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Waste of tax payer dollars having to involve the sheriff's office for a basic retail transaction. Totally ruined the holiday cheer for me. Zero stars out five, definitely would not recommend.

They won't be open till Tuesday they are apparently close for stocking and cleaning had to call before I left to gonna wast gas going there when they sent even open

Can you please pay your employees more per hour so they stay with you and actually stock shelves?! For the love of all things good this is the only retail store our little community has besides hardware/farm stores and it’s never open and nothings ever stocked. Maybe instead of creating your new posh stores you should focus on keeping the poor people ones good! This location is always closed for “truck unload” but then the metal creates just sit around the store for weeks. So with Christmas coming and you want anything seasonal bring your box cutter! every location is getting this way, Adrian, Rock rapids even my “good one” in Brandon. I don’t think it’s just luverne anymore. Come on DG do better, be better pay your employees worth a dang! Dollar General can just build new stores in higher income areas, to target people with a larger pocket book and do better? Guess what those stores still need people there stocking shelves, checking out, and oh shocker cleaning! And I can bet a dollar on the dime those with the larger pocket books will not be working at a renamed dollar store, and if those types of jobs aren’t good enough for them you think their kids will work there?!
