We are road trippers and I almost always get a great cut from Great Clips, no mater where we are. There’s a rare occasion that I get a not so great cut, but hey, it’s just hair, and it’s never terrible. I’ve been using them for many years.

The staff seemed annoyed that I used a coupon for my haircut. Stylist rushed my haircut and missed several spots.

I went in for a trim and a dusting of my ends and specifically told them that’s what I wanted and that I’m growing my hair out. I asked her twice to trim my layers and she said no I don’t think that’s a good idea this time. She cut SIX INCHES off my ends and now I have a bob when I went in for a trim. She was very nice and kind but unfortunately it’s going to take years for my hair to grow back to where it was…

2nd in the door first thing in the morning and was an 88 minute wait. You can't make an online appointment until 5 minutes after they opened the store the day of.

I drove 2 hours to get here. Told them I'm checking in and that I'd be back for my haircut. They didn't put on the list I waited 2 hours to find out I'm not getting a haircut and that I now have a 2 our drive home. Idc if your front desk worker is having a bad day. They literally neglected me as a customer and I asked if they could correct THEIR mistake and their like nope. SoL shoddy operations cheap service probably not very good at their jobs if they can't do customer service.

My first haircut was great. But this last one is a nightmare. Why can't we book with a stylist of our choice?

Stylist: My stylist was Danielle and this experience was the worst of any haircut I have ever had. Danielle was kind, but obviously could care less about what she was doing. She spent all of 3 minutes cutting my hair and quickly went to the counter to take my payment. When I flipped my hair forward to look she said "oh wait, is it even?" Not even close. One side was over an inch longer than the other. She worked to even it and kept asking me to check it over and over. I have never had anyone do such a hack job and not check thier work to see if it was even. I have never not tipped someone in my life, but she was absolutely terrible! This was supposed to be me doing something nice for myself as I usually just trim my hair myself. Thanks, Danielle. You totally ruined it for me. If you go, just ask for someone else.

Probably the most rude gal I have ever talked to in my life. I did not have an appointment. There were four gals working. Two were doing hair and the other two were just standing. The gal said it would be an hour, because she had errands to run! Unbelievable! I will never go there again. I will make sure no one I know goes there. Terrible people with terrible attitudes!

They need to make their stylists work Saturdays . It redic that only 2 or 3 are working when the rest of the world is able to get haircuts and during the week there are 5 working.

HOW DO THEY STAY IN BUSINESS?!
I used the website to wait in the queue for 2 hours. After checking my son in for his appointment, the woman went to the break room, about 10 minutes later another woman came out for my son. She asked me if he would be able to sit still for the cut, he’s 3 and has been getting his haircut since he was 1. I told her it depends on the stylist because we normally have good experiences but have had one bad experience in the past. She said that if he couldn’t sit still she wouldn’t be able to cut his hair. So before she attempted to cut his hair, she made it clear that she didn’t want to try. I told her she would need to be sure to talk him through what she’s doing and let him get acclimated to the clippers. When she attempted to use the clippers he giggled and shrugged his shoulders. She told him to sit still and when he tilted his head she said she wouldn’t continue. She refused to cut his hair because he shrugged his shoulders. Of course he’s going to shrug his shoulders anticipating the tickle of the clippers! She didn’t try to get him used to the clippers at all. She didn’t try to establish trust with him at any point. She just told him to sit still. How do they stay in business like this? Who keeps them profitable when they don’t have the skills to do a kid’s cut. The business model of the salon is that they serve the entire family, kids to seniors. But when no one in the building has the skills to cut a child’s hair I would say they are failing to live up to their own standards. Great clips in Mankato is NOT SO GREAT!
