Tonight I was running behind trying to get important prints done for my business cards, and I honestly thought I was going to miss my chance. I arrived around 7:04 PM, a few minutes after closing, fully expecting the doors to already be locked and the opportunity gone.
Dot could have easily turned me away. Most people probably would have.
Instead, she stayed and helped me anyway.

What stood out the most was her attitude. She was calm, friendly, professional, and genuinely sweet through the entire interaction. No frustration. No rushing. No making me feel like a burden. Just pure kindness and professionalism.
People talk a lot about businesses needing better customer service, but the truth is businesses need more people like Dot.
Office Depot in Mankato is lucky to have her representing them. Acts of kindness like that stick with people far longer than most companies realize.
