I visited the post office today to resolve an issue with Informed Delivery, as I’m still receiving notifications for my old address—three years after moving. Despite multiple attempts to update it online, I’ve been unsuccessful.
Hoping for assistance, I went in person, only to be immediately dismissed. The employee at the desk told me it wasn’t their responsibility. When I asked if there was anything else they could do to help, another employee—without a word—handed the gentleman I was talking to a slip with the supervisor’s phone number. The person I was speaking to didn’t even acknowledge my request - he just passed on the slip of paper.
The lack of help and dismissive attitude are incredibly frustrating. Another example of the federal government in 2025?? I expected better in my new hometown.

Works great if you talk to anyone except Gene. Avoid him at all costs. Gene is both unfriendly and unhelpful. If there is a second clerk working, I would allow ten people to go ahead of me to avoid working with Gene.

Called the post office and told them my lock is broke on my mailbox. They said the maintenance guy would be out to fix it in 3 days to a week. Almost 2 weeks later and still waiting and of course I can't get through to anybody in the office! So maddening!!!

This was my worst experience at any post office ever in my life. The manager was very rude, and unhelpful. That staff treated at me like I was a burden, and not like a customer. They literally did everything they could to not help me. I left very upset, and without sending my packages. This post office is very unprofessional and ran by old entitled A holes! I would highly recommend using UPS. They treat me like a human being!

Seriously ridiculous left me a pink slip saying my package couldn't be left at my apartment when we have big lockers for packages and usps usually just leaves packages on the benches of our building along with sending me 3 confirmation emails saying it would be delivered the next day for there to be nothing never had an issue with usps but this is ridiculous I mean I got a piece of wood with holes in it for blocking knitted items it's not big or heavy it's like 5 lb at most and 9in long it can easily fit in the lockers

Kinda crazy how packages don’t show up even when stated as delivered which only seems to affect Mankato USPS and not UPS or Fed-Ex. Odd but incredibly frustrating.

If I could rate this a 0 I would.Frequently misplaces packages due that same day with a message indicating a 5 day delay - all of this while their own tracking shows the package already having arrived in Mankato. Also when running late, they frequently transfer the package to "another carrier" thereby eliminating tracking and providing no means of further tracking for your package - a way to disguise their incompetence.Also, in general, tracking showing a package will be received Wednesday, for example, will be incorrect 9 times out of 10, and the package will be delayed those 9 times. Why can't they provide consistent tracking indicating the correct day at least once per month? If they are predicting delays, move the tracking out another day initially so the customers can better account for their packages.For a more dependable (or minimally viable, unlike USPS) shipping method, go with UPS or FEDEX. Close this office and give the taxpayers back our money.

Absolutely horrible. They have lost countless packages of mine and often deliver it to the wrong address. The delivery drivers need to learn to do their job, it’s absurd how often I have to go out searching for my packages. It cannot be that hard to read an address and deliver it to the right house!!!

Phoning in a problem with a lockbox that won't unlock is not any of the options available from the computer that refused to get me a person to speak to. Very bad service. There is a vinyl in that locked box. If not freed soon, the heat here will possibly damage it irreparably.

I always get greeted. When I need to know about shipping outside of USA. They give me the cheapest route. They are friendly.

They have lost our mail COUNTLESS times but today, it was my medication! I even spoke to the carrier in the past to explain the difference between COURT and DRIVE. Thank goodness we have a trusting neighbor!
