My daughter can only take one type of birth control due to different inactive ingredients, causing either rashes or breakouts when she specifically takes the medication for acne..
This was noted in her profile before she went to college— clearly stating xiromed needed to be ordered ahead of time bc they don’t normally carry this. I called a week prior to her needing it and the guy I talked to said he sees the note and he will work on ordering it. They lied bc what they really did was go into the note that was created and delete it bc my daughter picked it up but they had swapped it out with a different brand. They refuse to correct the situation even though it’s not opened. They claim they told her the change of brand but she said they did not. I do know this has happened and they have not told us about brands being switched in the past on both mine and my daughters script and I know this was a recent news story- pharmacies swapping brands without telling you— this has been an unnecessary struggle for a year— and again they assume no accountability. I am switching all my medications at this point not out of spite but bc their ability to work with and resolve issues is non existent and their ability to do as requested when I called in the specific rx and made the verbal specification to brand needed and the pharmacist even said yes I see this brand is needed and will have to be ordered was a lie— but I guess that’s doting doing other people‘s jobs for them because they aren’t competent enough to do them on their own even when they’ve promised they would and you’ve made sure that they understand it. They just go do whatever they want in the end

I get shorted every 30 days do to them not stocking the pill for me. I was told it cost over $5,000 a bottle so they will not stock it for me. This pill only can come from there because it can only be transferred once. I had picked up the 1st pills while leaving the Mayo in Rochester and then was transferred to Walgreens on Madison. That was the one time it could be transferred. The pharmacist Jason was very rude and told me to get it transferred somewhere else from my doctor and did not care what I had to say. Jason only cared that they DO NOT STOCK IT BECAUSE OF THE COST OF THE MEDICATION. So even though the state and doctors are 100% behind my medication comes from that store THEY WILL NOT STOCK IT FOR ME EVERY 30 DAY BECAUSE OF THE COST. Jason needs to be filled in on the medications and RULES and go back to school to learn costumer service. If the staff are following him as a boss know wonder why they have the lowest costumer service ratings.

Says its 24 hours. It is fact not 24 hours. Went there to get some flu meds for sick child. Door shut, lights on, wont answer phone. High class that.

I wore a gay pride shirt and they glared and rolled their eyes at the pharmacy. They were so uninterested in helping me and wouldn’t fill my meds after a full day. I returned three times, and not one person started it. I doubt bigots care anyway. So if you don’t want to feel shamed, avoid the pharmacy.

Consistently disappointed in the long wait times and all the errors they seem to have. One of the worst in the chain, understaffed, and often closed to no staff. Should just close down all together.

So rude! Zero help! The pharmacist's hate there jobs and it shows. Awful getting the run around when you are sick. Terrible experience!

This place is frustrating. My meds will sit for days while “in progress”. Each employee you talk to tells you something different. Planning in advance doesn’t help either, because everything is at their leisure. Then, when its finally time to pick them up (days after they're due), the wait time both inside and drive-thru is astronomical. I typically spend 40-60 minutes waiting.

I had my husband go in and pick up two pictures for me. He then later called me and told me he almost said forget it and not get my pictures, because the lady working the photo center on (1/31/25 at 1:15) was rude beyond belief. She told him he needs to know how to ask for an order before he comes into a store. I'm sorry, what kind of customer service is that? If you're going to treat people that way, you need a different career choice or get yourself a major attitude adjustment. All she had to do was look up my name and number on the computer to know what size the pictures were, letting her know where she needed to look. But it seems like that's not something she wanted to do. Terrible customer service on her part. What a rude individual who seems to be a little lazy when it comes to having to do her job if she can't just look something up to know what she needs. I will not be sending my photo services to this Walgreens site ever again.

called on Wednesday for a refill of my meds ( I had enough to last through Tuesday the following week), got an email on Thursday saying it was delayed due to my insurance (this happens every month). I call on Thursday and spoke with the actual pharmacist to get it straightened out. He told me it was all good to go after I told him I would be in on the weekend to pick it up. Got there on Sunday and stood there for 20 minutes while they looked for my "lost prescription". They found it with a note from the pharmacist I talked to on Thursday saying to call my insurance company for a reversal. The woman at the counter says she can't call my insurance till a business day (I get that) so I can either pay full price or wait to pick it up. I asked why wasn't it figured out on Thursday after I was told it was all good. She said, "I don't know, just no one bothered to get it done." Called today (Monday) to see if it was resolved and I guess their phones are down?? The automated system keeps saying " Thank you for reach Walgreens on Madison Ave...You will be disconnected now" So I guess I'm not going to have meds this week after Tuesday??

I will NEVER go to this pharmacy. They made me go without my anxiety for a month because they told me that it wasn't able to be filled until mid January (this was back in November). This not at all true. Please double check what they tell you!!

Made a vaccine appointment online for over my lunch, made the mistake of scanning the QR code and following instructions by waiting till name was called. 15 minutes passed my scheduled time, no one called my name, got in line and waited for attendant. They went through all the crap I already went through online for check-in so I wouldn’t have to do it when I arrived. Now I’m checked in twice and still waiting. 30 minutes passed my scheduled time. I only gave 2 stars because store is warm and clean. Honestly it should be one I am now at 40 minutes passed.

I had an excellent experience dealing with this Walgreens in Mankato Minnesota. I'm from the Twin Cities however I had a doctor's appointment in Maple Grove Minnesota and I had to be in Mankato that afternoon so with that being said I had my doctor deliver the prescription to Walgreens Mankato. I called beforehand and spoke with Carol who was the pharmacist in charge and she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I must say that I was very happy and very satisfied with everything that took place and I would definitely recommend using this pharmacy.
