First time visit to Hand & Stone. I received two gift cards from my work and was excited to go try this place out. I booked a facial and a one hour massage with no “add ons.” I get finished with my services, which was probably the most disappointing massage I’ve ever received, to then find out when I went to pay that they “can’t give “first time introductory rate” of $79.00 that I was quoted and that it will be $139.95 per service if any gift card is used.”I ended up having to pay out of pocket $222.36 for the most basic facial and a one hour massage and is WITH one of my $100.00 gift cards being used. So a total of $322.36 for the most basic services on both. Never have I ever paid this much for a one hour massage in my life! Absolutely rip off. I would definitely recommend never buying a gift card for anyone to use here.I used this gift card to try it out for the first time and will never go back. Terrible way to welcome first time guests and expect them to come back by not allowing them to use their gift card unless they pay the “full price.”

March 2, 2024 we went Hand and Stone for a couple massage in Maple Grove Online the price says $79.95 we booked the service over the phone because that is the way they do couples massage. I specially said I was looking for the hour long couples massage for $79.95 the woman said ok and scheduled the appointment. We went checked in and had a great massage. The woman at the counter was very short with us along with not making eye contact not being professional at all. When the massage was over we went to the front desk where the total for my massage was $178.18 and $178.18 for my fiancé. We were never informed of the price difference an when I brought it up they just shrugged it off an said sorry about that. I called this 3/3/2024 the manager Lauren refused to give me anyway to contact the corporate office. She explained the reason they don't tell people about the price difference is that people get offended. How is this morally or ethically right? What if I couldn't pay for the massages? They made me feel like I was less than everybody in the shop because I questioned the price.

I got a facial by Miriam this past Saturday as well as four weeks ago. Miriam did a fantastic job. She's knowledgeable, personable, makes great conversation, and answers all my questions. I would recommend her to anybody I know. She is a great asset to Hand and Stone Maple Grove!

I scheduled myself for a massage at this location for the first time ever. When I arrived on site the receptionist stated that "I was about to call you to let you know that we do not have a person here to do your massage today". She proceeded to tell me that someone should have called over the weekend and they did not. I stood there embarrassed and upset at the lack of customer service. Not only were they not prepared for me as a new customer, they did not try to find alternatives or options for similar massages at other locations. It is appalling that there is no accountability or checks and balance system. This establishment will not have my business ever and I will make sure others are entirely aware of what can happen to them if they choose to want to partake in their services.0/10 recommend.

DO NOT USE YOUR SPA FINDER GIFT CARDS HERE. I had a $50 Spa Finder gift card and because I used that they ended up charging me retail pricing instead of the introductory rate. Without the gift card I would have spent $160, with the gift card my total was $230. So, in essence, I paid them $20 to take my $50 gift card that I could have used in multiple places. I am not sure why they would not tell me this, instead they are just trying to sell me a membership. The service was fine otherwise.

Do not do the membership! The services are wonderful but it is next to impossible to cancel the membership. I have called 4 times at this point and you ‘need to speak to a manager.’ I have talked to a manager and even went in the store and have still yet to receive my paperwork to cancel. Use the services bc they are wonderful, but do not get a membership!

I cannot say enough about the terrible experience i had at hand and stone in maple grove. It was the worst massage I’ve ever had, Jaimie basically ran the hot stone over my body with no effort on giving a massage. The “hot stone” was warm for about 3 seconds, she also used lotion instead of an oil so it left me with this awful texture on my skin. Jaimie was not professional since she farted during my session and made the whole room wreak! I will never recommend this place. They are not up front with their prices and are extremely overpriced. I paid 179 (not including tip) for a 40 minute lame massage with someone who clearly needs training. With the experience I had I cannot believe this place is in business. It doesnt even merit 1 star review.

Cancelled my membership due to location not convenient for me anymore. The cancellation went well given what problems others have had in the past. I had 3 massages credits remaining to use after 90 days of my cancellation. 2 hours before my last massage was scheduled I receive a call telling me that the date of cancellation was wrong and I would have to pay for this message. I had documentation and checked with the front desk when scheduling this appointment. They still cancelled my appointment on me 2 hours before I was supposed to be there and I canceled plans previously knowing I had to get this massage in! So angry.

Nice facility but the prices are on the higher side. They ask about pressure, room temp, etc but never asked if you want to talk or just relax. My therapist talked and asked questions the entire session. Also, the ‘intro rate’ was $79 and they said I get a promo for 50% off for my first visit - this is false market ing because it only takes $10 off. Then, the massage was only 40 minutes. I guess an intro massage is 45 minutes but then they take time off at the beginning and end for you to change. I didn’t know it was so short - the therapist didn’t even have time to address my sorest area (that I communicated upon arrival). I didn’t sign up for the membership.

This place is an absolute scam. I signed a termination form after having moved away from the area. They continued to charge me and now they are telling me I can’t be refunded because I haven’t signed the termination form. They refuse to refund me. I would never in millions of years recommend giving your credit card information to this company.
