Hit or miss for buying - my daughter’s size (2t) is typically picked over/not much inventory. There’s seems to be much for 18 months and younger and 4t and older. HOWEVER, I brought a bin in today not thinking I would get much $$/taken, and over half my bin was taken! Pleasantly surprised! I think the trick was, I made sure to double check for any stains/rips etc, and sorted via size as well as clothing type (sets, dresses, long sleeves, pants etc). One thing I noticed is that most of the stuff that was not taken were things from Amazon that had Chinese sizing, so I will have to remember that for next time. I think the quality was good, and they sell clothes with Chinese sizing. Don’t really have complaints!

Do not shop or try to resell here. I brought in multiple bins of clean, high-quality clothing — many items were new with tags — and they didn’t even go through everything. It looked like they only checked one bin and dismissed the rest. When I asked why, they said things like “it’s wrinkled” or “it has stains,” even when the clothes were clearly fine. Total waste of time. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend shopping or selling here. You’re better off listing your items on Marketplace or reselling from home.

Too expensive. Might as well buy new. Owner was rude too. Where I’m from it’s rude to thrift if you have the means for new but I lost all my sons luggage (and a shoe in MSP) and was in a bind to get him a new wardrobe for the next few weeks before it gets cold. My mom suggested once upon a child, I told her about this location and how expensive it was and we went down about 20 miles south to Eden prairie and it was a lot cheaper.

I love this location of Once Upon a Child. This is my first stop every time I’m looking for clothes in the next size up for my kids. They also have a great selection of books at amazing prices! I always end up getting 10 books bc then they give you a 10 for $10 offer and it makes the books even more affordable. We were able to double our collection of Junie B Jones books and Dr Suese books just at this one shop.

Tried to sell here and I can guarantee they didn't actually go through all of my stuff. Everything was in the same order I put it in and I put new with tags items at the bottom. Really disappointing to make the effort to get all my stuff there only for them to move around a few things on the top.

If you don’t need the money just donate to charity because you will be ripped off at this place. I brought in over 8 pairs of gently used shoes size 10 toddler, Nike dunks, uggs & Jordan’s. Columbia snow suit with gloves, over 15 outfits from gap & old navy outfits that came with jackets items that looked a lot better than what they sale. All I received was $88 & the 1st lady that help me passed me along to another woman who barely spoke English I think the 1st lady felt I was going to press the issue but I didn’t even make it big deal I just knew for a fact it was a rip off. From now on I’ll donate to the less fortunate it was a 1st & last experience for me.

Took my teenage daughter here and they had sufficient clothing options for her to choose from. Changing rooms to try out clothing exist (whichbis nice). She ended up buying 1 pair of jeans. Although we didn't buy shoes, it sure seemed like they had a really nice collection of Nike shoes available. Not sure if that's normal. They seemed priced really well. Easy parking. Wheelchair accessible store, but could get tight in the aisles with a bulkier special needs type wheelchair. Friendly service.

This store is one of my favorite places to shop for my kids. It is clean and well organized - no small feat given the amount of stuff they pack in there - and I can nearly always find what I’m looking for. The name brand items (e.g. Minnetonka moccasins, l.l. Bean outerwear, Nike shoes) can run a bit pricey, but esp given the alternative which is brand new stuff at 2x the price or more, this shopping destination is a fantastic alternative for outfitting your kids. We’ve shopped here for jammies, pants and shirts, swimsuits, dance leotards… and toys. Honestly, I’ve brought my kids here and said, “look at all these toys at a fraction of the price you’d pay brand new!” because to pay $30 for some plastic thing they’ll grow out of in a year or two is just painful, right? (Plus, the environment - yay!) Bonus points for friendly, helpful staff. Great job making this a customer-friendly, kid-friendly place to shop!

I love finding great items here! Great, helpful staff and a clean atmosphere. I always leave with something I love at a great price.

I think they shouldn’t buy clothes if they’re going to low ball you on everything. I also think it’s ridiculous that they won’t accept clothes if they’re inside out and if they are in a plastic bag. Sell any clothes $20-50 and baby beds $10-$50 and if anything is BRAND NEW they will act like they can’t take it or offer you $12 for $100 worth of stuff. This place is a waste of time as far as buying clothes.

I live in Woodbury but drove to the M.G. location of this store today because the one by me is so disorganized and unfriendly. However, this location far exceeded my expectations. The staff were all SO friendly and helpful, actually seemed to like their jobs, and had the most organized store! It was a great experience both buying and selling, as they processed my order even faster than they promised. I will forever be making the hike to come to this location even though it's way farther from my home.

Literally the best children’s store for used clothing. Always end up finding something for my three kids. Prices are great, although they could be a little cheaper on some things. The return window is a little short. Sometimes it’s hard to get out with little kids and you just forget within one week but otherwise this is the place to go, to get your kids clothes shopping done since they grow so fast and spending $30 on one shirt is just insane

Rude customer service and very prejudiced behavior I would never shop here again. Your employee had no reason to move to the other register, none lets make that part very clear( I can understand if he needed some help with his register or a customer but this was not the case) it was not busy and the other cashier didn’t need any help from her, matter of fact he was already done with the customer he had, (check your cameras it’s very clear what she did,) me and my daughter got up to the register after she was done with the customer in front of me and she walked away and told the other cashier, ( remind you the other cashier didn’t have anyone he was checking out, ) so she told him, rolling her eyes at us, to go check us out because she didn’t want to, my daughter even heard her say that, (11 years old) which is heartbreaking for my child to see someone being so rude to us for no reason. ( when one customer came to her register, she greeted them and super nice to them) (a different race from us)I told the guy cashier, that she was very rude, we just experienced the worst customer service, and all he could say is “I can’t control her actions”. “So is that all for you”. I said I need to talk to a manager he said well “I don’t know”. “I don’t control what she does”, Then that is when I refused to finish checking out my daughter’s clothes and I left the store.
