I drive from Minneapolis to bring my dog here- that’s how great my experience always is! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and thorough. Most importantly they treat my dog how I treat him- lots of love and attention.

Paws and claws is the best vet clinic I've ever been, Dr. Malco and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, they work hard and with you and your pets. I'll never go to a different vet.

Dr. Melco is the best and most thorough vet I’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing. Him and his team take excellent care of my pup and I refer everyone I know to him. You will not be disappointed bringing your fur babies here. He’s also affordable.

I appreciate that that doctor found time to see my rats when no one around was available. Positive experience with this clinic.

Dr Melco diagnosed our dog's puzzling symptoms after others were left struggling. He quickly put her on the path to a healthy life and for that I'm very grateful. His bedside manner is wonderful and so his ability to listen and to incorporate my thoughts and ideas into a discussion. He clearly loves caring for animals and is devoted to his practice. Dr Melco is the James Herriott of Maple Grove.

I can see why they have so many 5 star reviews. I was very afraid to bring my dog to a vet he is a pretty aggressive American Bully but they did not shy away from him. He split a nail and was very agitated about it. The staff was cautious as they should be but very compassionate and made my boy feel better and didn’t make me feel bad about his temperament. I was also afraid of the price but was shocked on how affordable it was. Exam, rabies vaccination, two prescriptions and removal of the nail all for $156 with a first time client 10% discount. This is his new vet and I cannot recommend Them enough!

I am not one to hand out high praise easily, but Dr. Melco and his fantastic staff deserve every kind word I can offer. I had a dog and a cat under Dr. Melco's care over the course of 11 years and I never stopped being impressed. His medical practice is outstanding and he did great work, be it check ups, problems, or even surgeries. Just as important, his bedside manner was impeccable and we quickly came to a great working relationship. I have never, ever seen anyone so dedicated to his patients--he has shown his true character time and again and it is always what you hope for in a Vet. As I entered end-of-life care for my critters, Dr. Melco was utterly perfect at understanding how I wanted to approach it and meeting me with the right information, guidance, and care. Absolutely magnificent compassion.

I seriously loved this place.. I was recommended to it by my mother who takes her kitty here. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I’d never write a bad review unless it was serious, and in my case, it’s serious. I took my 14 year old cat here for a check up. She hasn’t been to a vet in years and I finally saved up enough money to take her to a loving vet.. so I thought. They handled her with care and were extremely patient with her. The staff and doctor were super great ! Except.. I just took her to Blue Pearl a week from today. I called Paws and Claws last Tuesday, the 9th of August letting them know that my kitty was wobbly and spacey.. she wasn’t herself. The nurse on the line sounded very concerned and she told me she’d check in with the doctor to see if he thought it was urgent.. he didn’t. So I took her into Blue Pearl and she was diagnosed with retinal hemorrhages from multiple strokes, pancreatitis, 1 kidney was dead, the other barely functioning, and a blood pressure of 240.. normal range in a cat is 120-130.. now keep in mind.. the doctor at Paws and Claws notified discoloration in her eyes about a year ago and claimed it was because of old age. Then ONLY tested her blood cell count and figured out her kidneys weren’t doing well, so we put her on prescription wet/dry food and a medication called Azodyl.. but he failed to check her blood pressure.. I have the records.. I’ve never written a bad review for anyone or any business. Even if I didn’t get the best service but this place almost killed my cat.. my baby.. my life. Please.. if you go here, just make sure the doctor is doing everything he can.. because he didn’t for my cat.. best wishes to all and to the business .- Alisha
