This store sold me rotten night crawlers....which I found out when I stuck my hand through the stinky bodies. Then made me drive 40 minutes to return the stank carcasses, as they can't do refunds over the phone. NEVER SHOPPING HERE again. Way to waste my time and money Petco.

I was a customer of this location on Wedgewood until recently. My beef is with the GM and the grooming department. First of all, I have brought both of my Boston Terriers to this location and usually had wonderful experiences. However, let me day DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE!!!!. So I it took them well I called them back because they never called me back to book and appointment for Emmi to have here nails done. Emmi is slightly blind and does get a little anxious but if I am there and close she is usually fine. After being give a comp shampoo, nail cut, ear wash etc....I had to reschedule due to a work meeting. Instead of rescheduling with me they said we do not want to see Emmi and she is challenging and I was like what. Trust me she is an angel compared not only to some of the dogs there but the workers as well. So what does Dan the man GM do he give me a $50 gift card!!!!!!! Now why in the HELL would I want a gift card from a place I will never return too nor do I trust them. Dan is way out of his league and his handling of this situation is so unprofessional it is a wonder how he got the job and how they saw GM in this clown. I had my first Boston Lacie for 12.5 years and she went there all the time. I have had my beautiful Emmi for 3 years. They do not deserve to be treated like we have been treated in the last 3 weeks with no real apology. I was told oh we have changed our policies when it come to anxious dogs with underlying issues. First of all, the workers are what the cause the anxiousness and the NEW policies is complete BS. AGAIN, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I am not high maitneance but I do expect when I pay for services and am a return customer to be treated better than we have been. Thanks for listening. Such a beautiful dog she deserves better!!!!!

I wanted to return an item without the box, I have the receipt, and the cashier said "Well, I dunno if I can do this", four times. It was very annoying and not reassuring at all. She seemed lethargic and didn't really care and I said I could just take store credit, and she said 'Well, you're gonna have to." Wouldn't recommended coming here. Maybe she needs more training on how to talk to people?

Brooklyn Park location closed and went there to get my dog groomed and had unpleasant experience. I Do not recommend this place and will be finding a new grooming place.

Many birds show symptoms of severe respiratory illness. Adopted a bird with a puff to them thinking they were relaxing. Turned out to be a severe respiratory infection and they died 3 days later. I have a photo of said bird with symptoms of illness IN the cage at Petco. They then proceeded to blame me for her death and told me I was not allowed to adopt another bird despite the evidence that it was their fault. My other 2 birds adopted from other pet stores have been fine for almost *2* years now. Odd how the only issues I have been having with birds has been from this specific store. I will not be told I am a bad owner and I am not allowed to adopt a pet if almost every animal I have seen at Petco has severe issues. This isn't new, I see many hamsters with wet tail at this location as well. DO NOT buy animals from this location. Period.

Sold us a dying guinea pig- it was a horrible experience watching this helpless little animal suffer. The person who sold it to us handled her so roughly and held her on her back for no reason- they have delicate spines and it wouldn't surprise me if just the way the worker grabbed her caused her death. The manager wanted us to bring her dead body in for a refund. Unless you want to experience the same heartache, go elsewhere.

Yesterday I came in to look for a new king betta. I called and they said they had a few so I came in. I was happy to see the selection of kings because there hard to find. I looked them all over good and deciding on a metallic blue king betta. As I was walking to my car the water was splashing around and all the dirty cloudy water was all over the tiny cup he was in. As soon as I got home I tested his water cup and it was SOO bad. I don’t think it’s been changed in weeks!! Sad that betta fish have to be neglected like that.
2 stars because the cashier was nice and friendly.

Nice clean store. The big retail pet stores really do a good job working together to keep there margins insane!! I am jealous and wish the industry was still like that!! Good Job

They always have the products we need. The shelves are neat and organized. Staff are friendly and helpful. Petcos always seem to have carts and palates everywhere for restocking blocking aisles, but not this one and we really appreciate that!
