I’ve a loyal Pottery Barn customer and have been for years, furnishing most of my home with their pieces. As many reviews have stated, there has been a longstanding issue of the Maple Grove location consistently providing the weakest customer experience from tenured staff of any Minnesota PB store. The store functions exceptionally as a showroom, however the service spoils the shopping experience and does not seem to reflect the level of professionalism and care I expect from Pottery Barn. I now use this location only to preview items before purchasing online or at the Ridgedale store, where the service is notably stronger. I hope this is addressed internally!

Ordered mattresses to be delivered from Pottery Barn and the delivery guys refused to take away the old mattresses and box spring, even though Pottery Barn and Ryder Customer Service stated this is a standard service for them. I called the Ryder Customer Service/dispatch line while the delivery men were bringing the new mattresses into the house and had a customer representative on the phone telling the delivery guys to take the old mattresses away and they still refused to do so, stating that it wasn’t noted on their “app”. Only when I stated that I was going to refuse delivery of the new mattresses and they spoke with a their dispatch manager did they reluctantly agree to take the old mattresses to be disposed of. It was a terrible experience and I will never order furniture from Pottery Barn or use Ryder Delivery again.

I ordered an item online for in-store pickup because the website showed it was available at my local Pottery Barn. After placing the order, I received an email saying it was canceled because the item was not actually in stock. This was frustrating enough, but it got worse.
I called customer service to see if they would ship the item to me instead—given that the error was on their end—but they refused to waive the shipping fee. I expected better service and accountability from a brand like Pottery Barn. Very disappointed with the experience, and I’ll be reconsidering future purchases.

I scheduled an in-home design appointment, but no one showed up. When I called to follow up, I was met with an attitude from Esther, who made it clear she had no interest in showing up or working on our project. The lack of professionalism and customer service was incredibly disappointing.

We visited to try a mattress advertised online as available in the store. The staff were not very welcoming and seemed annoyed by our presence, and they didn’t have what was listed on their website.

I had ordered $10,000 worth of furniture. Half of the time they didn’t know where my order was. The first part of my order which was bar stools had arrived with the white glove delivery surface and over half of the chairs were missing the rubber/ silicon floor protectors, so my chairs were uneven.
6 months to get the last of my order and the order arrived super dirty. I took the entire day off work to wait for delivery. Pottery barn offered nothing in return. $1200 in 2 chairs and they had stains. Even the delivery man from Ryder company said, “I cannot deliver these they are too dirty” they were a CUSTOM order apparently from Italy. No one has called to apologize or offer a solution.

The people who work here are not very nice or welcoming. First and last time visiting this location. I generally go to the Ridgedale Mall. But the maple grove location is closer to me. I came to get fabric samples for a bed I wanted to buy online. When I asked associate for what type of sample I wanted. The older lady looked at me not in warm manner. She gave me this horrible look. I asked for my samples left her sit right away. I walked around the store to look at other things to purchase online. There was younger associate working there, didn’t offer for any assistance or acknowledged my presence. I simply got what I needed. I bought all my bedroom set online instead. They lost their commission there.
