My son started here end of February. I love how they challenge him and the care they put into the work they do with kids. Really would recommend anyone who wants their kids challenged to bring them here.

I took the ACT prep course at Sylvan over the span of 6 weeks, and at the beginning I took a baseline practice ACT to determine what areas I needed improvement. My score for this baseline was a 25, and when I took the real ACT in January after taking the prep course, my score was a 32. I had a score of 28 in science, 29 in math, 34 in english, and 36 in reading. This was a huge improvement from my original baseline scores which were 19 in science, 27 in math, 27 in english, and 27 in reading. The prep course was incredible, and each teacher was supportive and helpful throughout my experience. I felt very prepared for my ACT by the time I had to test as a result of this prep and I cannot recommend Sylvan enough!

We have had enormous reading growth for our daughter since coming here. Covid hit and they stepped up to make sure she still got the attention she needed to progress her skills!

The Center Director, Dani Johnson, is so easy to work with and very accommodating to our busy schedule. The kids love attending multiple days a week. They keep if fun and we are seeing incredible results! We will continue use Sylvan’s resources with our kids.

Sylvan has been very flexible with our schedule. I have seen significant improvement in my daughters reading ability in a very short time. Her confidence has grown dramatically since we have started attending Slyvan.

Desperate to boost my kids' math skills, I encountered Đean at Sylvan in Maple Grove. He provided excellent customer service. He was welcoming, supportive, reassuring, and answered all of my questions in detail. Dean also helped me set up a flexible schedule for my children. And they are improving every day! Thank you, Dean!!!

My 1st grader is been going to Sylvan for couple of months now. We love how confident his be coming in his math, Reading, and writing. My son gets distracted easily, but at Sylvan his focused and we can really see the difference the teachers have on him. So HATS off to all of you at Sylvan of Maple Grove you Rock!

During the year of COVID, my fourth grade daughter was in a class of 30 people that was fully online or hybrid for much of the year. She was struggling academically and with that type of educational environment, I don't how any kid could get the attention needed to learn. We decided to look at personalized tutors to keep things face-to-face and to customize a learning plan to her needs. We settled upon Sylvan based upon their reviews and long-term reputation of the Sylvan Method.Initially my daughter went kicking and screaming, but that lasted until her first lesson. Now, I think she enjoys it or at the very least tolerates it. She especially likes that she can earn prizes for completing her sessions, which is a great way to motivate her.I really like that Sylvan has a customized and regiment plan to help my daughter and modifies that plan as she progresses. I also think it is advantageous that there is no homework, so when the session is done she's done and doesn't have additional homework beyond schoolwork hanging over her. Another great thing is that they are really flexible when it comes to adding additional lessons. When there are days off from school, I'll request to schedule additional sessions and they have always been very accommodating. This helps speed up her progress, and gives her academic stimulation during her day off.She has progressed very quickly through her personalized plan. With the disarray due to COVID it has been difficult and too early to tell if this has translated to better test scores at school, but I suspect that it has.

My 2nd grade son was struggling with his reading and writing, in large part due to his schooling being in a Chinese immersion with zero English instruction. However, he needed to improve in these areas order to be accepted into a gifted program at school. In 33 sessions, he mastered 95 skills, finally bringing him up to grade level (and beyond in many areas) reading!! Writing has improved a bunch, too, and he is about half way through his sessions for this. Best of all, HE has loved coming and is totally motivated by the prizes at the end of the session. And, of course, he is more motivated to work at these for someone other than mom.

My daughter was a little behind in 6th grade math so we decided to sign her up with Sylvan. We met with Steve and Dani and they explained there process with out making us feel pressured. They had great financing options to fit or budget and when it comes to your child's future it shouldn't even be a question. My daughter is fully up to speed in math now and recieved an A in math class at school. I don't believe it would of been possible with the extra help from sylvan. I would definitely recommend Sylvan to anyone who has a child who is struggling in school.

The people are amazing especially the office manager Dani who runs the Maple Grove Sylvan she's awesome, very understanding, easy going and makes you feel very comfortable. My daughter was very Anti-Tutoring and ever since she started she's loved it there and her attitude has completely changed in the first month!!!

We have a daughter with a learning disability. So we thought tutoring at Sylvan could help. We were there for 5 months and our daughter has gone backwards. But every time we picked her up things went better then the week before. Very disappointing. I guess we signed a contract to pay them but they don’t have to hold up there end of the contact. One excuse after another. The director called me once but had to go in a hurry it took 10 days for him to call me back. Still waiting for my full refund.
