From the front reception to the technicians, doctors and the boarding staff my very much afraid of everything in the world. Great Dane and French Bulldogs found comfort and ease ! Their “no fear “philosophy is no joke. My fur babies love it here! Highly recommend!!

Animal Wellness is the only clinic that my dog (who is vet-phobic) will enter and the only clinic I will take my dog too. Their staff is incredible and knowledge of fear free practices, canine body language in addition to delivering quality veterinary care. i really appreciate that they keep a detailed record of my dog's favorite staff and try to align her appointments with staff members she knows and likes. Additionally, they let us enter a separate door to avoid seeing other dogs in the lobby and they have been supportive of happy visits and letting my dog explore the empty exam rooms. I really can't emphasize how thankful we found Animal Wellness and how supportive they are of reducing our pet's fear and anxiety when it comes to the veterinary care.

As any vet these days, they charge you a lot. I’ve really loved going to them for a few years now, however, they need to become much better with their fee Transparency. PLEASE before you run any sort of test or recommend a specific therapy, please let the pet owner know how much it’ll cost. I’ve had this a few times where I’m coming in just for one thing but the bill is triple what I thought it would be. Make sure to tell them that before they charge you for anything that they let you know. And if you sign up for the year-long plan which cost upwards of $600, it doesn’t even cover muchOverall nice people working here, but they need to work on sharing the prices with their customers. Shout out to the front desk lady who helped me today on January 25.

We were really happy with our visits to the VCA in Maple Grove. All of the doctors, techs and staff gave great service and are always very helpful. They go the extra mile.

Love vca clinics and the way they care for animals however this clinic in particular like to over charge there clients. I just had an ear infection for my dog in July and was going to vca in Rochester mn when I lived there and was only charged $80 for a revisit to make sure the ear infection was gone. Now fast forward a few month I now live in the cities and switch vca clinics. My dog had gotten a second ear infection and when going back for a recheck they charged me $160.

I had a great experience here with my cat who is terrified of going anywhere and being around anyone. The vet was very accommodating with him, took her time with his exam and the biggest thing was she let him lay where he was comfortable which was a huge plus.

Very happy we chose VCA for our dog's vet care. We've been with them for one year now and have had excellent service. Their staff always cares so much about our dog and that makes us feel great. Thanks to everyone at VCA Maple Grove.

I called in December to get a quote for a diagnostic endoscope done on my dog. I was told $350-500 for it plus a pre surgical exam at $86. If biopsy’s were needed it would be more which makes sense. I set up an appointment. I live 4 hours away so spent over $200 in gas and lodging/kennel stay for my other dog to come down. Drove down with a sick dog and toddler. Did the pre surgical exam and went to make the actual procedure appointment and was quoted $2300-2900 for it!! I was like woah why such a difference they had no clue. I said forget it. If I would have known it was that price I wouldn’t have even come down. Wasted over $200 for nothing. Paid my presurgical exam bill and that was even different at $95. As a person who works in the veterinary field I understand why people don’t trust us. Being lied to on price is ridiculous. A $2000 difference is a big deal. Won’t recommend them to anyone from now on.

Every time we have brought our dog in we have seen a new veterinarian. It seems to be a revolving door at this location with veterinarians coming and going. Based on our past experience I can see why. The clinic is not run well and management is very rude. We brought our dog in for a routine cleaning and he needed quite a few teeth removed. The woman who called to speak to me was very rude on the phone and blamed it on his age although our dog is very healthy and he is only five years old. When I went to pick him up I was very shocked by the bill which was not communicated to me in advance. We will not be bringing our dog back to this location, and will find a vet that communicates pricing in advance and talks to their customers with respect. I would highly not recommend bringing your pet to this clinic.

Ridiculously overpriced.... I was absolutely shocked how much routine care and vaccines were at this facility. I did a quick search online and found plenty of lower cost options. The vet & tech were attentive, and easy with the cats, but I have yet to meet a vet that wasn't an animal lover... Save your money for a nice cat tree or toys, or a real emergency...FWW: $755 for Rabies & FVRCP and FeLV vaccines, exam, bloodwork, and fecal tests for two 1.5year old cats that are quite healthy...

tl;dr - VCA Maple Grove cannot support simple grooming services but continues to charge high premiums. Their staff does not pay attention and is actively harming pets. That's not to say they're being malicious, but careless & inconsiderate. Do not bring you animal here for grooming. I should've know bringing my cat Glacia here was going to be an ordeal when I walked in and heard another woman arguing with an employee about a cut/mark on her dog that wasn't there before their grooming appointment. But we had brought Glacia here once before for grooming, as apart of a vet visit. We had previously taken Glacia to the PetCo in Roseville but after moving to MG, we switch to VCA for her vet & grooming. After today's visit, we'll never be coming back. I spoke with the groomer beforehand and explained to her what we wanted done today. Simple bath, de-fur, nail trimming, and shaving the hair around her butt-region. This is pretty straight forward and all services offered according to the website. (I did mention I wanted a teeth cleaning, but the woman was very quick to tell me they don't do that, but happy to sell me things to do it at home.) I was told it could take a few hours, just to give her time to dry off. I know that these things can take time, so I was totally okay with that. After 2.5hrs, we got the call that she was ready. When I arrived, the woman behind the counter had a difficult time finding Glacia in the system, because of what she thought the name was being pronounced as. My cat's name is Glacia, like Glacier. But for some reason everyone there keeps pronouncing it "Glay-see-uh". It's not difficult, especially when I've repeated it back and corrected several times. When Glacia was finally brought out, I was told that she's still a little damp but she did great and was really sweet. Once I got her settled into the car, I noticed clumps of loose hair sitting on her coat. I thought this was odd considering any time I've had a groomer de-fur, her coat is much lighter and has no shedding. But I figured that since she did have a lot of hair to shed (we have a newborn and we got behind on her combing at home), that there'd be some residual. Nope. Once we let her out of her carrier, I ran my hands along her back and immediately I could tell that she wasn't de-fured. There's tuffs of hair in her coat still as I'm writing this. Next, her entire backside and two back legs were SOAKED. Not even close to damp as the groomer suggested. 2.5hrs and you're giving her back to me soaked? Are you kidding me? So 0/2 on things I asked for. I went to check her nails and she immediately got scared/pulled away, not a response I've had before. After calming her down, I found that several of her nails had been clipped down to or right to the quick. That's grooming 101, you don't cut cats or dogs claws that short. It's literally like cutting off our finger tips. I don't understand how this could even happen. She's in so much pain and she's practically traumatized. She won't let us come near her. We're 0/3. Not looking great. Last, her back area where we asked them to shave is a mess. There are different lengths of fur and they barely got around the butt-hole area like we asked. They shaved her back legs, even on the sides. Why would someone ask for ONLY the back half to be shaved? I made it very clear what I was looking to get trimmed and her legs were not mentioned. 0/4. 0%. Failure. I called immediately after and was essentially told that they're sorry and someone will call me back when their back from vacation in a week. There's one person who can make this right? Seriously? I'll be issuing a chargeback with my bank. As far as I'm concerned, none of the services asked for were provided and all they did was soak and injure my cat.

I have taken my pets (dogs and a cat) to VCA for nearly a decade. Over the last several years I have witnessed their customer service significantly decline. The front desk staff is NOT accommodating and I have struggled to make appointments in a timely manner. They continue to blame this situation on COVID, but I am not buying it. I have moved my animals over to a local vet who has been very happy to get me in and has been tremendous with my furry friends. I would encourage everyone to do their homework when selecting a vet in the area and to avoid this one.

Covid has changed things over the past two years, but service at the VCA Animal Wellness Center in Maple Grove has handled it well. They have procedures in place to keep everyone and their pets safe. My cat is a bit scared to go to the vet, but they are very nice to her and give her time to smell them and feel at home. They also answer all my questions in the office and have on online app that I can use if I have more questions. The vet we saw was kind and professional.

Update: Thank you so much for listening, we went and he barely had any! You guys rock. Have a wonderful day! ?I have told this vet numerous times to please lay off the treats with my dog when he’s getting checked, he gets sick EVERY time from eating way too much and they won’t listen!! I hope this will help them understand. Otherwise, it’s a good vet!
