“This bank takes care of its customers! Five years ago, I visited to have two savings bonds cashed out. The teller I worked with was astute enough to provide me with a photo copy of the bonds just in case they got lost along the way, which unfortunately did happen.Five years later, and almost five years after I stopped banking here, the staff spent time helping me track down these lost bonds and, when they couldn't turn up anything, provided me with the correct phone number to call at the treasury department. Everyone was just as helpful as when I was still a customer of theirs.Life circumstances have compelled me to bank elsewhere, but if you are looking for a bank that cares about its customers, this is 100% where you should put your money.”

No, they don't have branches all over the state and country, but we got past that within weeks. “I initially opened this account because I worked nearby the bank and it was convenient. It has been four years since I have switched jobs, and now live and work at least 10 miles away from the nearest branch. I have stayed with them because of their superior customer service. When I have an issue, I can call and speak to a human being. They universally deliver the type of customer service that every business should deliver. It used to be inconvenient when I would need to deposit a check, but since Alerus took over there is mobile banking, so I take a picture, and it's in my account. I am able to withdraw cash without a surcharge from a huge selection of ATMs - so there is only one downside. If I need to withdraw a large sum of money, I have to go to a branch and their hours are somewhat limited. This rarely happens - and the exceptional service more than offsets this. I recommend Alerus for anyone who is tired of the poor customer service that the large banks frequently deliver.”

“I am so happy that US Bank decided to put a branch in Mound. It saves me the trip of having to go all the way to Wayzata. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help with other services, such as Notary or fax services. Doug helped me out today with one of theses additional services after cashing a check. The small lobby is always clean and bright. They offer complimentary soda, water or coffee if you would like a drink. Most often there is little to no wait and if there is, it is short. Time for a cup of coffee! It's great having these services in Mound!”
