Doctors are pretty good, my review is NOT about their care. This is about Allina as a megalomaniac conglomerate in the Twin Cities. I feel like I have a ton of problems just refilling prescriptions with this place. I was made to go into the clinic (and got charged $400 for it) in order to continue to get the prescriptions that I literally need to live. It all could have been done through email but no. Even though i had already been there weeks ago and my blood pressure was already taken and documented, I STILL needed to do an in person office visit to get a blood test to "prove" my blood pressure medication was working. Huh???My doctor refilled my prescriptions which put in a request to my Walgreens when I didnt need at that time. (Was "allowed" a 30 day supply. How gracious Allina) I was told OH NO PROBLEM JUST DON'T PICK THEM UP by Allina.Last night I put in a request to get more of my prescriptions before I travel with my pharmacy. It gets delayed because Allina didn't bother to respond to the request.I called Allina to ask what was happening and if I needed to do anything. The person I talked to sounded confused. She asked why I didnt pick up anything on the 2nd. I was told I didn't have to.I realize there's medication abuse out there but get better. Seriously? I have to CALL you if my pharmacy puts in a request to refill my prescriptions? This process needs to be improved.Edit: Allina denied my prescription request for no reason.

My original doctor had retired and she was so awesome I loved her I had gotten a new doctor that had kind of replaced her spot she was really good but this other doctor that I have right now that came in she is amazing she listened to me she didn't judge me she didn't say anything about me having to lose weight I already know I'm a little bigger the whole overall experience was great .Her nurse was super sweet super nice I had an outstanding experience very caring and was generally concerned about what I was telling them.

Allina is a garbage health clinic. I’ve been going on and off for a decade and it’s been increasingly terrible. I will never return. The solution to every single issue you may have is, “let’s run tests.” They draw blood, you get results in your chart, ranges show normal and then you never hear from them again. They’re not there to help you with your medical concern, it’s just all comes down to profit. I have to have referrals from them to see two other clinics in order to get the prescriptions I need, this has NEVER gone without incident. They say they sent the referral to the clinic and my insurance, they don’t. I spend the next year chasing it down from them for my insurance. On top of that, they are insanely rude about it, customer service does not exist here. I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve never encountered a friendly person when I call in. I’m tired of the negative energy from these people that all seem to hate what they do. Allina has never helped me with any of my concerns, they cause more issues and anxiety. Do not go to any of their clinics, you won’t get the care you’re seeking.

My visit with dr Bauer was great, however, last May, I saw dr desold at bandana square for a health card, still have not received that card… it’s September???Someone should look into that whole process so a patient could leave the office with that card……

This Clinic failed my wife! Her Primary Care Physician WANTEDher as his Patient; then neglected to see her for 6-weeks. Then failed to gether a Endoscopy for ANOTHER 6-weeks. THOSE failures cost her life.I expect he's retired; but THIS Clinic was INCOMPETENT in 2008!

I'm not sure why everyone hates this clinic. The doctor I was seen by for allergy testing was on time, cordial, and professional. I think fat people getting offended by a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL telling you to lose weight is hilarious. The reviews are people who are offended by reality. My doc told me I'm overweight and that it will cause health issues down the road. Smokers know they're going to get cancer, obese people should know they're going to have a ton of problems when they get older. Don't let the rants of the offended hurt your opinion of this place. They did a great job, check in was fast and easy, but they will tell you to go home if you arrive 15 mins past check in - so your bad actions don't make the following appointment go late.

Don't accept walk-ins for lab. That's not what my primary told me, he said ANY Allina can draw your blood.

I was looking into a good local clinic to go to. I have families and friends who recommend me to try Allina Health. For the first time I went there for a blood test and some other tests. I was offered to sign into MyChart to see all of my health information and so I did. Pretty quickly, my blood test result and other test results show up in MyChart. I saw my blood test result, but like some normal patients I can't tell what it means. After 5 days I message the doctor through MyChart to clarify my blood test result. On that same day I received an email from a nurse stating that I would receive a phone call from the doctor in 3-5 days. Now it has been the 7th days and still no phone call from the doctor. I don't like the fact that they let me hanging without update me on test result that I don't know how to read. If they don't call, I would try to call them. Bad customer service on get back to their patients.

Went in to get my physicals today (9/1/2022). Was helped by a nurse and Dr. Amjad Ali Shahid. When I was called the nurse did her basic thing which was checking my blood pressure and heart rate. Which was all good and she was asking questions which took us 5 min. When doctor Amjad Ali Shahid came in he didn't ask any question. Not even how are you doing? Are there any concern with your health? Just the basic hello. He just check my heart rate again and put some pressure on my chest and stomach to see if I feel any pain. And that's it. I asked him a few questions about my health and it seem like he didn't answered them. I don't know if today was a busy day or something but the Dr. just brushed my questions off and rushed in and out in 5 min. I feel like I was rushed and was not important to Allina Health Clinic. I will definitely not go there again. I'll take my money else where.

Filed a complaint with the office of civil rights for unauthorized medical record release . Fairview and other health agency have full access to my allina medical records when I never signed a consent of release form . Healthcare can release a patients medical record in under certain cases but what if there wrong ..? I doubt the government will allow any healthcare provider to release medical record based on hearsay only / unproven facts …

GO TO A DIFFERENT CLINIC!!! Dr Akram refused to schedule a repeat TbGold test in 6 weeks to confirm a diagnosis after I had a positive blood test. Which is the process he should have taken. I know the process because I had a false positive 5 years earlier and he refused to follow the EXACT same process. I can not schedule a lab visit without a doctors order. The only option he gave me was to pay $254 for a specialist to do his job and submit an order for the lab test to confirm that I did not have Tb.So save your money and take your business somewhere else. No person should have to be forced to pay an extra $254 for a lab order!

Horrible experience with them. Their billing department is incredibly rude. I have a big hospital bill of over $6,000 which I am paying with med credit. Then I get a bill for almost $3,000 stating if I don't pay all of it right they will cancel my care. Well who has that sitting around. They wouldn't even let me do a payment plan and stated they sent a letter that they were cancelling care which I never got. Plus I am already paying $60 a month on a bill from them not including these two. I ran out of my medication and they won't even refill it. Mind you I told them I need this medication or I could have seizures. They said go to a different clinic. Just completely unprofessional and horrible people working at continuation of care. I have never in my life had this issue with any other medical office. It's just really sad they treat people like this. If I were you I would not chose this clinic or company. It's a shame because the doctors and nurses there are amazing.

My Primary Doc. Is so kind, understanding and really does well at his diagnosis. I have been here since I was a child. My Doc. MR. Akram deserves a raise. For all the hours they put in and stress they are under and I am so glad to have him and the team of nurses ❤.
