Unless I am a glutton for punishment I have to cease going here!!! I don't do all of my shopping here, I'll just pop in from time to time, close to open for sale items as the another store is closer. There is one major problem I have w Hy-Vee as a whole. Loosen the purse strings....if it's a price issue. The software exists, Cub has it. To enable me key in my phone number at the self-checkout if I don't happen to have the physical Perks card since if I'm lucky, there is one cashier in the early morning, but usually not at their register. So then I have to hunt down an employee for assistance.... so frustrating! I once called over the gal from the service desk to assist me. She had no issue not being discreet to let me know I was a bother by needing assistance. She keyed it up so I could key in and said - see that's all you have to do. Prompting me to ask: but I need you to get me to that screen though, correct? She said I would...so that's not really helpful for either of us. A few weeks ago bananas were on sale so I popped in early Monday morning to get some. I had to leave without as they were all so green they would need to sit at last a week or so until I could eat them... no thanks! This was the same week the lettuce was on sale. All of the heads had already began to turn... which I understand, trying to sell them before they become waste... but again, no thanks. Today I went to pick up some Totino's pizzas...not a single one on the shelf. As I left...once again defeated... I recalled this was the case last time they were on sale. I'm going to save myself the frustration and the few extra miles and stop shopping here in hopes that there will be a viable product I'm in search of, It bums me out to post this but I've left in frustration more times than I've let w my intended purchases that it's better for both of us if I just stick to a store that I consider reliable for my needs.

super rude employees at the gas station, and wouldn't accept cash 40 minutes before closing because "they had shut the system down". why shut the systems down when you know you don't close for 40 minutes? and then be rude about it?

Clean, well organized super market. I love their meat department & the butchers that actually TALK to customers! Yes, some items are a little higher in price but they really have the variety of grocery items. We went to this Maplewood store to see the dietitian for a blood test (a1c). We had our test, got the result & the friendly dietitian gave us a coupon for a new product: Fairlife Yogurt! Bonus win!

By far the worst experience I ever had dealing with a manager. This Hy-Vee not only did not prep our catering order (which caused for our event to be delayed further than we planned) we didn’t get our full catering order. I will say there was an employee named Nick that tried his very best to fix things so I am grateful to him for that. Nevertheless, when I called to see if we could be compensated for the lackluster of a job, not giving us everything we paid for, and the inconvenience I was speaking to a manager by the name of “Eusineous” (U-sin-e-ous) I don’t know the correct spelling but she worked in market deli. She was incredibly rude. I started the conversation giving praise to Nick and when I was done she said in the most dry and repulsive tone “okay? Is that it?” Then I proceeded to say no and told her we didn’t get our full order. She lacked decorum, professionalism, and respect. I was so baffled I had to keep asking if I was actually speaking to a manager. She hung up the phone in my ear multiple times. When I continued to call back she placed me on hold immediately. Overall a horrible experience with this location. I will be contacting Trent Gilliam the district store director about it on Monday to let him know what a repulsive manager he has working for his store.

I've transfered several prescriptions to this store that advertises $1 off per gallon for each transfer. I've never received this reward. They often advertise sales but those discounts don't show up at the register. We ordered wings and received overpriced tenders with the response "we thought you wanted tenders". They are gouging customers on many products. Check your receipts and maybe shop elswhere.

Every time we shop there we come home with meat that is so spoiled it stinks. Wrapped by the butcher. With food as expensive as it is, the very least you could expect is for products that won't send you to the emergency room.

Place is dope. I got groceries. I paid for said groceries. Groceries were delicious. The staff seemed pretty chill, particularly when I was hounding them for paper bags. Yeah I'd say it's def got a good grocery store appeal and ambiance. I'll go back.

This Hy-Vee is really bad. We decided to get food from the grill and sit at one of the booths to eat it. The service was mediocre. The man serving the Asian cuisine was going to serve some fellow employees even though I had been waiting, until I spoke up. Lots of staff in the dining area They needed to cook the noodles for my chicken lo-mein so I waited, sad. The lo-mein was just nasty noodles and old tasting chicken chunks. Yuck. Our friends shared the sesame chicken which was cold and old tasting. The booths were filthy as were the tables in the eating area and don't get me started on the beverage area...gross. This store hasn't been open long so I really have a hard time with the general condition of the store. I'll stick with Cub across the street.

you all should know this. the hy-vee at 2501 White Bear Ave, Maplewood, MN 55109 does not require staff to wear masks or be vaccinated. they administer vaccines in the store! what is wrong with you? maybe no one at hy-vee knows someone who has died of covid. i'm letting everyone i know about this. there are plenty of places to buy groceries that DO use common sense. come on, hy-vee...justify this policy!

They didn't have much of what I was looking for. Staff was scattered and if I would have wanted help , not sure who I could have asked. They were not friendly at all. Saw one girl sitting behind the customer help desk and she was on her phone. And the no one looked liked they wanted to be there. I have been to many hyvees and this one. Might need a little more pep or better training. Also some of the food in the meat area didn't look edible. So not sure what that was all about. So over all I don't even want to give it a 1 star. But the store looked semi clean so. That's the one star folks.

There was bakery molding. Other then that plenty of employees, and Starbucks inside, it reminds me of Kroger in Ohio.

I have heard hype about Hy-Vee. One recently opened up near me so I went to try it out. I don't understand the hype. It's a confusing store layout crammed into too small of a space. Annoying signs announcing price discounts make it look like a cheap discount store. They didn't have several common brand items I normally buy. The food I ordered at the food court wasn't good. I will stick to the Cub across the street.
