I’ve been going to Barberry for almost 5 years. Joy’s knowledge of nutrition, fitness and overall wellness is so helpful. This isn’t a job for her, it’s a passion and it shows in everything she does. The workouts are fun and challenging. Boxing, especially is so much fun! I have more energy and feel better than I did when I was 20. 5 stars! I would (and DO!) recommend Joy to anyone who wants to improve their health.

Joy challenges you both physically and mentally when coaching. She focuses on both your physical fitness and your nutrition habits, making overall health a priority. And such a fun atmosphere to work out in! LOVE the heavy bag boxing and circuit classes. It’s a great stress reliever and it’s never boring because it’s always something new! Highly recommend!

It’s almost 3yrs since I joined Barberry Health. I needed something to help me gain my strength back and maintain healthier eating habits after being quite sickJoy has done both and so much more along with helping me gain muscle mass, Lose body fat and maintain my weight with the encouragement and nutritional information. I have met new friends through the workout classes and feel so much better about myself. Best thing I did. Thanks Joy.

Joy has helped me lose weight by eating real food, gain muscle and learn how to make better choices - everything from drinking more water to cutting processed foods and sugar from my diet. Boxing circuits class has helped keep me sane; there's nothing more satisfying than hitting and kicking a heavy bag to relieve stress. I went to see Joy to just go over what I had been doing on my own and learn what I needed to change up with the intention of buying 1 package of workouts and then I’d be set, that was 7 years ago and I don’t miss a workout/week of training with her unless the world is almost coming to an end!!She is absolutely amazing and I can’t say enough about the progress I have made because of Barberry Health….I came in very frustrated with extra weight and injury that was severely affecting my life, now I go to Joy because I thoroughly enjoy the way my body feels and the stress relief of the fantastic workout she provides!! My body is so much stronger and my health is so much better because of her, not only physically but mentally stronger!I now got to as many classes a week as I can because I enjoy them so much…after 7 years one would think the exercises would get so easy you wouldn’t even notice, but she is always challenging and changes things up so there is not a time I leave there that I could say wow that was a waste of time or so easy. Nope I feel it somewhere/somehow after every workout, but it’s a great pain, one of accomplishment and strength. She’s absolutely amazing, I’m a life addict now and couldn’t/wouldn’t do it without her!!

Barberry is awesome…it definitely helps me keep my sanity! I love the small group atmosphere and have definitely made some friends along the way. There are a variety of classes to choose from for what best suits your schedule.

Joy does an excellent job of working with you where you are and challenging you to go farther than you think possible. She modifies and makes the workouts challenging for everyone. Joy and this Health Center are one of the only reasons I CHOOSE to get up at 5AM (and say "oh Joy" throughout the day!). She is great at what she does, pushes you, and really invests in you. You will get so much more than just a workout with her knowledge, passion and kindness. Joy will teach you to have an appreciation for cleaner foods and overall healthy lifestyle.

I’ve been going to Barberry Health since November of 2014. Joy’s knowledge about fitness and nutrition come together in an all around plan to meet any person’s needs. Prior to deciding to workout at Barberry my primary exercise was running. Joy has taught me the importance of an all around fitness plan. I have seen significant gains over the years in strength, endurance, and overall fitness. No matter your fitness level, anyone can benefit. I give Joy and Barberry Health a 100% endorsement!

Joy is simply the best! Her workouts are essential to my physical and mental well-being. I highly recommend Joy for anyone of any age and any fitness level. I have been with Barberry for a little over 2 years & Joy does an amazing job! She pushes us to do things I never thought I would do, and I actually enjoy them. I see her 4 days a week & somehow I wish I did 5 days with her. We may curse at her when we are going through the motions, but it feels so good when we’re done. Thank you Joy!!
