Nice place. The young man behind the front desk was nice but didn't know how to do his job. Took 30mins for me to check in and wanted me to pay for the room (already paid for online with business card) with my personal card. He had to call someone for help and still had trouble.

Love the staff, they go above and beyond for their clients. Beds and breakfast are the best I've had since Yakima comfort Inn at Washington. Overall, earned 5 stars and would recommend it if you need a place to bunker down!Rooms: Beds are very comfy and keep you warm. There is a roku TV that you can use in front of the beds and the restroom is nice and compact but feels very roomy and comfortable with many towels for you when you need them. The clock has ports for you to charge your phone.Nearby activities: There's a pool and a hot tub there, really clean and loved it.Walkability: Very walkable and clear to move free range. For disabled people there's a lot of room to move around in.Food & drinks: Overall, the best part of this reveiw. They have waffle machines, cereal, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches (sausage, egg, and croissant), cinnamon bagels, sugar frosted donuts, apples and oranges. There is coffee that's made to perfection, and if the machine runs out, the staff are happy to refill and help you out with both the coffee machine and waffle machine if you're having troubles. Hope everyone enjoys having breakfast here and has a wonderful timeNoteworthy details: Staff are very nice, comfortable to be around, and very helpful!

We were on a girls’s trip and heading home from Deadwood SD when we needed to stop and rest. The clerk at the desk was so awesome! Friendly, engaging, and welcoming. Our room was clean and fresh smelling. The TV had internet on it so we could watch what we wanted instead of flipping through 786 channels we didn’t want to watch! Breakfast was delightful. WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK next time we have a girl’s trip. Thank You staff!

We've stayed in this hotel location for many years as I grew up in the area and visit often. We have been quite satisfied until our last visit and will not return ever again. It was obvious the hotel had changed management/ ownership at some point as we checked in. When we pulled up at 3pm, there was a beer can and cigarette butts from the night before in the parking lot. Checking in with the desk clerk who didn't like their job was a huge red flag. Sadly, because of hotel policy, we were "stuck here" to the tune of $173 and some change for one night - we have a dog, so they charged $20 or so and it still felt like such a rip off to pay so much for so little. *Actually, the first red flag was when we called to book and an interview process began as to why we were staying in the area. It's actually none of their business and we were staying to attend a funeral for God's sake. Poor taste. Our room, #211, was a disappointment right when we walked in. I was taken aback as to how filthy the carpet was, especially outside the bathroom. The lamp shade bases had dust and debris/ crumbs on them. The bathroom floor was dirty behind the door - I was too grossed out to look deeper. The shower wall was chipped and looked ghetto. The straw that broke the camel's back was the dated air system that made the room smell like mildew when used. Breakfast was another disaster. I get grossed out when hotels look the other way and allow guests with bare feet into the breakfast area and we had 3 different adults stumbling around barefoot who had obviously just gotten out of bed. Isn't this against Minnesota Health Code? Either way, disgusting. Plus the counters and tables had debris and food stuff all over them - even the coffee was crappy!!!!!Food served in the Breakfast Room is minimal and packaged/ processed. Gas station burritos and breakfast sandwiches. Boxed singular serve cereal. They have those basic waffles you can make yourself , which might have saved the day, but we were informed they were out of batter. How does this happen? Inexcusable. We actually were walking by the front desk and talking amongst ourselves about how we were going to have waffles when the front desk person overheard us talking and told us, "I'm out of waffle batter." No apology, not even an excuse. So we had a tiny box of Raisin Bran and one of the LAST burritos left. Even the fresh fruit was gross. *When we checked out, 3 Quality Inn staff were on their cell phones behind the front desk and didn't even look up as we walked back and forth with our luggage. Hardly surprising at this point.So. I'm saddened at the state of the "Quality Inn" on Marshall, Minnesota. It's a stone's throw away from the University and should be, in my mind, Marshall's premier hotel. It's really not worth enduring the disappointments when one can book 6 other hotel's in the area. Sorry, Quality Inn, I'm not the person I used to be and I just can't do this anymore.

This was a great place to stay, we stayed in a suite with a separate living room, that includes its own TV, microwave, and mini fridge, as well as a single serve coffee/tea maker. The linens were clean, the room was clean, and there were plenty of towels, and had an extra blanket in one of the two closets in the suite. The bedroom had a 2-person whirlpool hot tub, that worked great, and elevated the quality of the room. We paid 119 for this room, which was more than reasonable and cheaper than anything else in town while we were visiting, while also offering more space, and luxury spaces. The hotel has an indoor public pool and hot tub, but we didn't check it out during our two night stay, as the private hot tub in our room was more than sufficient. They serve breakfast, but the items are clearly designed for those in a hurry and on the go.My husband and I brought along our 120 lb Saint Bernard and we were not charged extra- however the website does suggest they do charge $25 a night per pet- this was not the case for us, and only improved our experience. Finally, the location was great, it is adjacent to a college that boasts hiking trails. If you are unable to explore areas that are not paved, then the surrounding area should be able to accommodate your needs- the infrastructure is amazing, all the sidewalks are well lit, smooth, wide enough for 3 people to walk side-by-side, and is well maintained.I highly recommend the Quality Inn in Marshall, Minnesota, if we are ever back we know where we'll be staying.

Nice standard hotel. No elevator for the second floor, so we had to manually lug our bags and cooler upstairs vs using the luggage cart. Experienced difficulty trying to check in, had to come back 45 minutes later before the computer system for reservations would work.Swimming pool is nice for kids and adults, only 4ft deep at max, medium heat.Hot tub was excellent, and one of the few hot tubs that is actually almost too hot.Nearby activities: Great location, is about a 6 minute drive from anywhere and anything to do in Marshall. Is located basically right next to the college of SMSU.

There was MOLD EVERYWHERE! In the AC, windows, around the windows, bathroom vent, bathroom ceiling, floor under the sink & on the walls. When I reported it I was told so by the front desk? I sleep in my car. Outdated, run down and mold filled. I would never stay there again. Does Minnesota even have inspection people?Noteworthy details: Room was filled with MOLD

Got the ground floor. The window lock was broken and would not lock. I did not feel safe or secure. Couldn't get another room due to sold out. They did offer a refund but that did me no good as I wasn't familiar with the city (Business trip and traveled through 4 hours of a snow storm) and most hotels were all sold out due to an event going on. Was not a quality stay at the quality inn.

I get policy and I did book a no refund room. But when you can't drive to the town because every road is closed, I think you should bend the rules a bit and do what is right for the customer.

Booked a stay here last minute to keep from traveling in blizzard conditions. Staff at night that checked me in were friendly. New person training I could tell. No elevator if you have mobility issues. The window in my room had a small air leak because every time the wind picked up it whistled. I went down for continental breakfast and while making waffles the griddle made an alarm sound. I couldn't figure out how to correct it and all of a sudden the person working the counter came in and violently turned both griddles over to stop the alarm. Then without saying a word stormed out of the room. Seemed like I was making their hangover worse. Worst hotel experience I have had. I will not be back.

Only 3 wall sockets & wall socket in the bathroom works. The 3 in the room, one over in a corner of the room, one behind the bed, & one behind the dresser draw that you have to pull away from the wall to use. All was not in very much usable reach. Costumer service not all that great.

Service was good. When we got into our room, it smelled moldy. And the carpet felt damp.

Ugh. Well, the room was lovely and all was clean except the whirlpool tub. Tub was pretty gross and the mold in the caulking was disturbing. We both opted to wait on showers. The gal working in the evening at thedesk despises disruption, and is unfamiliar with customer service to people paying her wages.Would not return without Bleach and a Scrub brush but then, I probably wouldn't return at all. Other choices in Marshall are plentiful.
