I woulf not recommend abes auto unless you're ok with it taking 3-6 months. Brought my car too him in the beginning of the summer and just got it back. As far as i can tell he does good work but getting a hold of him is basically impossible. Also he gave me someone elses receipt with a small price than what i was billed for. I believe he did this on purpose to hide what he charged. I dont know what happened he was great the first time i worked with him . Talked to some locals around his shop and everyone said he takes months to get the job done .

Abe is amazing! Our car died while camping near McGregor. He was willing to stay open late to wait for us to be towed to his shop on a Saturday evening. Plus, he was open Sunday as well and made sure we were able to safely make it home. I'd recommend Abe to anyone!!!

Our motorhome broke down on the way home on Sunday morning. Abe came and picked our boat up as the tow could not haul both. He assessed the problem, found parts and fixed the problem in 90 degree weather outside! We appreciate all he did for us so we could get home that day. We are truly grateful, thanks Abe for going above and beyond. We definitely recommend Abe’s Auto! Great guy knows what he’s doing! Thanks again Abe! Jack, Lisa & Lexi!

What a great guy Abe is. We had an unfortunate issue with our daughter's car that had just had an oil change by a different shop. She was over 2 hours away from home, with oil literally pouring out of her car. I Called him after hours and yet he called me back and spent time talking to me, to get this resolved. We had it towed the next morning and Abe had it all diagnosed and fixed within a day or so. It was a blessing to find him, since we live no where near there. I so appreciate good people like him whom actually take pride in his job and doing a good job for his customers. I may just drive 2 hours if I ever need anything for my families vehicles. It's just that worth it. To find a good mechanic that cares, is not easy to find. Abe is very thorough and goes above to make things right..also very reasonable pricing. Even if you would have to pay a little more, rest assured you won't have to have a repair repaired. Thank you Abe, feeling helpless as a parent miles and hours away, was difficult, but working with you made it alot less stressful... You're the Best in the Business!!!!

I'm writing to recommend Abe's auto care!! I showed up unannounced during a camping trip because something broke underneath my car on my way up north. He responded kindly and quickly, put the car on the lift, detected the problem and reassured me that I could make it back to the cities safely. He didn't want to charge a fee but did accept a small token.
Bring this man a bagel, folks! He deserves it!

Got a flat while wrapping up a great camping trip at Savanna Portage. Only made it about 20 minutes out to McGregor when we realized. Called AAA and they said they could tow us to a shop (that wouldn’t be open until Monday…) but it was a Saturday at 3:30pm… so we called Abe’s, he answered right away, and told us to come on by. He dropped whatever he was working on to repair our tire on the spot. Price was good, service was good, and we appreciated his promptness in helping us get on the road back home in less than an hour! Thank you Abe!

Had a flat tire and had to get back down to the cities. He was able to patch it up perfectly for a great price and I made it home safe. I’ve had my tires patched and always had problems but his work was 10/10. Thank you so much, appreciate what you do :)

Abe is a knowledgeable mechanic that cares about the customer and their car. He will answer your questions and earn your trust. It is difficult to be a good mechanic in today's market. Abe is the exception and I will continue to use him for my automotive needs.

We were traveling from Illinois when a leaf spring broke on our travel trailer. We found the parts, and Abe & Tina came to the campground to install it so we could get back on the road. They were great!!

Suddenly realizing your alignment is messed up while camping is rough, especially when you're in an unfamiliar place. Luckily for me, I was in the right place at the right time and Abe got my car fixed. He and his wife went out of their way to make sure I got taken care of and got out of there.
The two of them are fantastic and I highly recommend for anyone in the area.
