Yet another formerly family-owned establishment now sold to non-Americans. You used to see familiar, friendly staff. Now the cashiers are on the phone, babbling in another language, and barely acknowledge you at checkout. It's a microcosm of a larger issue in this country, and I refuse to exacerbate it with my dollar. I now go to Liquor Barrel.

Prices have gone up since change in owners. They also charge two different prices now. The regular price is what you pay if using cash. Then there is a higher price if you are paying via credit card. They are essentially making you pay their card transaction charges now.
+1 to all the other comments on how impersonal the place feels under new ownership.

I really enjoyed the customer service and overall vibe from the previous owners. Ever since this liquor store was sold I do not feel the same way! Perhaps I'm being resistant to change but idk. I just feel like the new owners/associates could do a better job at building a report with the patrons that have been shopping here for years and at least acknowledging us when we walk into the establishment. I just don't want to shop here anymore. Its unwelcoming, the prices have increased as well and..I'm good.
