The General Store of Minnetonka is an absolute treasure and a favorite gift shop, offering an endless variety of unique gifts, goods, apparel, and jewelry. It is perfect for finding Minnesota-themed gifts and one-of-a-kind pieces. The store also features a fabulous cafe for lunch, with delicious made-from-scratch soups, salads, and popovers using organic, locally sourced fare. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Many visitors find it a fun destination worth a special trip, often recommending it to others for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
An absolute treasure! Such a wide variety of goods and an incredibly helpful and friendly staff. A great place for lunch - the soups, salads, and popovers are all delicious. Be sure to pick up one - or both - of the General Store cookbooks for lots of great recipes including some served in the cafe.

One of my favorite places for years! Whenever I can't find something for the kitchen or that special gift, I always head to the General Store. Then of course I have to stay for a fabulous made by scratch lunch. I should get a kickback because I keep taking people who have never been and turning them into addicts like me!
