If you're a long-distance relative of family in memory care, good luck being able to communicate with them. I scheduled a call with Mom once a week. I haven't heard from her in two months, and only then because I had called to voice my concerns and suddenly, Mom appeared in the nurses office and I was able to talk to her. I've now called 4 times and politely asked to schedule a video chat with Mom. Nobody has returned my messages. I just called the 4th time. It's like I HAVE to get angry to talk to my Mom! I don't like that. I don't understand why I can't get a five minute call to either tell me Mom's in no condition to do a video call, to schedule a video chat, or to even let me know what condition Mom's in. I HAVE NO CLUE HOW MY MOTHER IS! Communication with the staff, let alone your parents, is HORRIBLE!

I think the staff at Havenwood are phenomenal! My parents moved into independent senior living, progressed to assisted living and finally going to memory care. They were together the entire journey, with dad passing in January and mom in June. The staff truly cared for them, by remembering the simple things:Their favorite meals and drinks. How they liked the beds made, furniture arrangedGiving hugs throughout the day (pre-covid)Preferred food with medicine including going along with mom’s ‘special’ tea that cures ailments (she claimed to start company making tea)They kept us (4 kids) involved in the decisions and informed of different options throughout. When we had questions, they were straight forward but compassionate. So many of them came in on their day off to say their final respects – it was very heart felt

A close family member moved in 10 days ago as an independent resident. She already feels settled in, has started to participate in the many activities/services offered and is making new friends. She is very happy with the meal plan she selected and uses it for her daily evening meal. The entire process from, touring the facility, lease signing, moving in, and the list goes on, was handled by all the staff in a very professional, welcoming and friendly manner.Well done to all the staff

Beware to the public; looks are very deceiving! A pretty building does not make for great care. My mother was in your care when you opened in 2019. Such a lovely place! But...she never received the services she paid for. We had many, many meetings in the 3 years she was there with the promise you wanted to do better. Shame on you Havenwood, you never did better. Some main issues are the continued turnover, unfriendly staff, and lack of any type of follow thru. The crowning jewel from Havenwood: she recently passed away, she was charged an insane amount of money for living 19 hours into 2022 - and let us not forget the added $50 charge for soiling a chair. Most of the words I have are not fit for print.

My parents live here. Havenwood offers a variety of levels of service and living. You age in place so the services come to you as you need more services. The building hosts a fitness center, deli, chef prepared meals in a restaurant, religious services, hair salon and more. You work with staff to determine the level of service (meals, housekeeping, personal care services, medication management and more). There are social events at Havenwood and field trips. There is alot of good at Havenwood S people go through this difficult stage.

We have my grandmother at Havenwood of Minnetonka. The facility is beautiful and her room is better than most studio apartments in Minneapolis. Some of the staff are lovely and listen to our requests. However, as my grandmother’s health has recently started to decline, so has her care. We were told by higher management that the solution to her lack in care was that we should teach the staff how to take care of her. I have had to take her to the bathroom nearly every day and help with her toileting. It is frustrating and I’m not sure the shine of the fancy refrigerator outweighs the lack of care.

We'd make it a 4.5. (no place is perfect) Facility is terrific, and new. Doesn't feel "institutional". Staff is accommodating to individuals. They've been over-achieving during Covid. No cases! ½ Star deduction for some initial staffing changes right after intake that confused some provided services. But that's all cleared up with the administrators stepping in to help. The top team works well together from what we can tell. If you reach any of them they'll get you to the right person quickly.

This is a wonderful place to live. The workers are lovely people to be with, the residents the same. During the pandemic, they have worked hard to keep us happy and safe....and their hard work paid off. We have had no Covid cases either with employees or residents. I feel like I live in the safest place the world has to offer. My apartment is marvelous; the food is very good. Just about everyone here aims to please...while still being efficient and in charge. Plenty of activities to choose from. Peaceful surroundings.

We moved my Mother into Havenwood in April 2019. It is a beautiful facility, the Employees are wonderful and the place is kept very very clean. They have really watched out for everyone in the past several months and our family is very appreciative of all of the measures they have gone through to keep their residents safe and healthy.
