Went there, took in a door to be repaired of my motorhome. Was quoted me a "really don't want to do it price," but I gave them the go ahead. 2 weeks was when it was to be done. I came back in 2 weeks. The door was sitting right where I left it against the desk in the entry way. They never even touched it or called. Took the door and left.
I will not recommend this shop or ever go back.

The folks at this business were professional and prompt and even explained my vehicle issues in ******** terms. They communicated clearly and never talked down to me when I asked questions or had difficulty grasping mechanical explanations.They left my car really clean when they finished the work. This was really refreshing since at other businesses, I've been left with oil, grease, and other messes on my leather seats, doors, and steering wheel. Lastly, I will return for future business.

Certified mechanic, fast, took parts I had and installed, no pressuring, straight shooting dude. Thanks Howard. My mechanic for life.I tried my weekend mechanic skills and able to only get so far. He took it to completion.He won't spend you unnecessarily. Why aren't all mechanics this away?New tires and rear hub.

Can't speak highly enough of the staff at Minnetonka Auto Service. I brought my Jeep in because it was overheating. They did a number of tests and determined that there were air pockets in the coolant system (likely from a faulty previous coolant flush from another mechanic). They checked and made sure my head gaskets seemed to be alright. Diagnostics, filling my coolant, and running the vehicle to make sure the issue didn't recur ran me about $130 and just a few hours. The crew could have Skene a lot less time looking into and just decided I need to replace the head gaskets (~$3-4k). I will not only be returning for repairs but also for preventative maintenance moving forward.Also, Howard, Pat, and the rest of the crew couldn't have been more cordial and professional. Not sure how anyone could characterize them otherwise.

Came to Howard to get my brakes, rotors and calipers done on my front wheels and he was extremely kind, professional and responsive thought the entire process! Had a minor issue after and he was able to get me in and out the same day! He even looked into an audio issue that I was having and gave suggestions on solutions without me even asking! Really appreciate it and will be back in the future!Services: Auto brake repair

Owner (Howard) is extremely disrespectful, and is very unreliable. Definitely don’t recommend this place and it’s just a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment to be in.

I'm honestly shocked at how many negative reviews there are for this business, especially Howard! I was given a quote by AAMCO Transmission Shop in Hopkins for a front passenger axle shaft that "needed" to be repaired even though a brand new axle was installed in March of 2022. I was told at least $300 for part and labor. However I found the part much cheaper online and Howard told me upon contacting Minnetonka Auto Service that he would do it for less. I took my car in and learned that the axle didn't need to be replaced at all and it was just loose sway bar links. SWAY BAR LINKS! I got them replaced, new air filter, spark plugs all at maybe 100 bucks more than AAMCOs estimate for a part I didn't need replaced. Additionally, Howard was polite, helpful and honest the entire time, even though I was 3 hours late dropping my car off. This is my new go to spot and I would have to agree that the 1 star reviews are not a reflection of Howard or this business.
