Full of amenities, great offerings for all ages, but maybe a little more expensive than it should be.I've been going to the Ridgedale YMCA every day for about the last 2 months. I use the fitness center, pool, sauna, hot tub, and walking track. Overall I really love the place. It's conveniently located and everything is clean (but perhaps a little outdated). My only complaint is that the $120 / month for 2 people is a little higher than I'd like. But compared to Lifetime which is well over that price wise, the YMCA is a reasonable price.

I am a new member of the YMCA and love visiting. The variety of exercise classes available allows me to always have a plan for my workout and never need to venture into free weights or the treadmill area. I love the sense of community at this location and, like I said, the extensive group fitness classes. One feature I really love about this location is Kid's Stuff! Caretakers can bring their children here for some childcare while they work out, take a shower, or generally have a break from childcare. The parking lot is great, it's an easy location to get to, the facilities are clean, the staff is inviting. I love the Y!

A Fantastic Fitness Oasis at Ridgedale YMCA!I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had at Ridgedale YMCA! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew this place was special. Situated at 12301 Ridgedale Dr, Minnetonka, MN, the facility offers a fitness oasis that caters to all your health and wellness needs. The swimming pool at Ridgedale YMCA is nothing short of impressive. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just want to splash around, the pool provides a refreshing and clean environment. The lifeguards are attentive, ensuring safety for all, which I found very reassuring. The fitness center boasts state-of-the-art equipment that caters to every fitness enthusiast's dreams. There's an abundance of machines and weights, so you'll never have to wait for your turn. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist and guide you in achieving your fitness goals. Only negative point here I guess is you can't drop weight, Not that I do or want to but I know a lot of people working heavy weights and working specific exercises, they have to drop the weights. One of my favorite features is the indoor walking track. It's a perfect way to warm up or cool down, offering a pleasant space to enjoy a leisurely walk while admiring the beautiful surroundings. The gymnasium here is fantastic! It caters to various sports and activities, making it ideal for both solo workouts and team games. The energy on the court is infectious, and it's easy to get caught up in the fun.Last but not least, the sauna at Ridgedale YMCA is pure bliss! After an intense workout, unwinding in the soothing warmth of the sauna was incredibly rejuvenating.Overall, Ridgedale YMCA stands out for its top-notch facilities, cleanliness, and attentive staff. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just starting your wellness journey, this place has something for everyone. It has become my go-to spot for staying active and relaxed. I highly recommend Ridgedale YMCA to anyone in Minnetonka or beyond – you won't be disappointed!

I travel to the Twin Cities area at least twice yearly. This is my first choice regarding YMCAs because it is clean, up-to-date equipment, friendly patrons, and friendly front desk staffers.I just wish at least one trainer was on the weight room floor at all times (like my home YMCA). I’m very short and can’t reach to adjust cable machines, and I can’t lift heavy weights off of barbells that others have left on them. Sometimes, other patrons would help me. Sometimes, I had to skip parts of my workout that my YMCA trainer planned for me, so I could remain consistent while traveling. All in all, go here. And, purchase yourself the national plan, so you can remain consistent with your exercise plan while traveling. If you can afford it, invest into the personal trainer package to help you learn how to exercise properly.

I do like this place for many reasons!! However, I do find this place very frustrating as there are under 40 year olds who sit on machines while on their phones for 30 minutes at a time while I am trying to use the equipment!! One who very much does this is a redhead!!! She is terrible and camps on the equipment for about a 20 minutes!

Very clean and equipment is very up to date. Probably the nicest Y I’ve been too! I love getting in a workout here when I’m back in MN! I wish all Ys were like this one.

Visited this Y as I stopped through for a trip. One of the more updated and modern Y’s I have been to. Treadmills were first class and rather new. Plenty of machines and squat racks.Staff was friendly and helpful.

My son plays basketball and football at the Y. We went through a few coaches that weren't as involved as we'd like, especially with 7-9 year olds. Thankfully we found coach Mauricio! He has been incredibly amazing and dedicated to his team. I absolutely love how he gives each child the individual attention they need, helping them learn the fundamentals and strengthen their skills. He has really impacted my son in so many positive ways! Thank you coach Mauricio!

Laura is VERY rude. So many other staffers are pleasant and welcoming. Laura feels the need to be power hungry and even scolded my classmates and I tonight for being in the studio appropriately setting up for class. We are ADULTS, some of us like to set up and go get some cardio in before a weight training class. There is little to no reason for her to treat us like that. We are paying customers and have the right to use the spaces. The studios should be open a minimum of 30 prior to classes beginning. Respect your guests.
