A word of caution about The UPS Store at 13033 Ridgedale Drive—and pardon the rant.
I recently shipped a small 8 oz envelope to my son in Vancouver. The UPS Store charged me $48, which felt steep, but I paid it. A few days later, I was shocked to learn that my son couldn’t receive the package unless he paid an additional $139 in customs and brokerage fees.
I called Jen Chyrkulund, the store owner. She returned my call and essentially said, “There’s nothing I can do.” She told me that UPS and The UPS Store are “not affiliated”—which, frankly, is hard to accept when they share the same name, branding, and services.
I asked what exactly the $48 was for. She said it was “to ship it to Canada.” But at no point was I told there would be further charges. There was no transparency, no warning—just a surprise bill nearly three times the original amount.
It felt like buying a plane ticket, boarding the flight, and being told midair: “By the way, to land, it’ll be 270% more.”
I understand international shipping can involve tariffs—but customers deserve clear, upfront information to make informed decisions. This wasn’t just frustrating—it was misleading.
Thankfully, there’s a FedEx store just a few blocks away. That’s where I’ll be going next time.

I had a terrible experience at this UPS Store today with an associate named Jen. I came in to have a passport photo retaken (originally done perfectly by a helpful employee named Courtney), and Jen treated me with immediate hostility. Instead of simply retaking the photo — a service I was clearly willing to pay for — she was rude, dismissive, and made the process far more stressful than necessary.
Despite showing her the original photo and explaining that I just needed the same specs, she demanded I dig up the dimensions again, only to finally do it exactly as shown. When I asked for a receipt showing the date (needed for the consulate), she handed me a vague printout labeled “suspended” and sarcastically offered to charge me again. It felt intentionally antagonistic.
It’s baffling to be treated so poorly for such a simple, reasonable request. I won’t be returning to this location.

Experience was not good at all.
I went to get a copy of my notarized documents and post it.
For making a copy they used card stock without asking me and charged alot more than normal paper.
While making a copy they also teared one of my document, thankfully it was not a notarized one else i had to do the whole process again.
Then to post ups coupon code didn’t work and employee wasn’t not willing to help.
Due to the cardstock copy they made, i had to pay more for the weight of the package too.
So bad experience, i would suggest not to go to this particular store. I have been to Ups other stores and those are great with nice employees to help customers.

The service person(male) was patient, friendly, and efficient, and you could tell he was being sincere. I only had to drop off my package and nothing else was needed-so it was super easy.

I had an issue with a package not arriving and Ben went above and beyond to help solve the issue and it worked! My package arrived today thanks to his help. He was friendly, professional and effective in advocating for me!
