My Husband & I went in to pick up some lumber, a few small items & get an idea of how much a new front door was going to run us. I WILL NOT be buying a door from Home Depot! The doors we were interested in had no pricing info attached to them & it took 15 minutes to get a worker to start helping us. After sitting at the computer on the Co. website, she tells me one of the doors we were interested in is NO LONGER MADE by the manufacturer. WHY IS IT ON DISPLAY?!
The second door we were interested in had the wrong info panel attached to it which caused the worker to go into a tail spin. She couldn't find the door that WAS on display. We told her to stop trying because we'll go somewhere else. They just lost thousands of dollars from us. The check out process was WORSE!
We stood in line for another 10 minutes while a worker tried to get a price on an item. Even after another checkout opened we were still 4 customers deep. This was THE WORST experience I've EVER had at Home Depot. I will not be going back.
DO BETTER HOME DEPOT

I love Home Depot, very good company, well educated staff. However they do not have the ability to make motorcycle keys, I had to go elsewhere today. But I will return as they take care of all my business needs as far as tools and supplies go!! Great store great company

Ordered a door from Home Depot. What a mistake!! Took 2 hours $2600.00 later, the 3 stooges that helped us including the store manager, managed to order the wrong door! We are now stuck with a door that will not fit and the manager doesn’t even have the curtesy to call us back. Never will we buy from Home Depot again. This was a standard size door, nothing that could not be put back in stock.

Why does every employee at Home Depot have the worst attitude ever? I hate coming here enough to never come back again and I live 2 minutes away

I was very impressed with the people working at this store! One gal saw I needed help getting paint off the top shelf and got it down for me.
I asked another gal where to find something. She brought me to the aisle but that wasn’t her normal area so she couldn’t answer all my questions. She paged someone. They came and looked up the item. Then that same gal followed up to make sure someone came to help me.
Yet another employee brought me to look for a different item and stayed with me to help me find what I was looking for. He looked it up and then found it in the store.
Back 10-20 years ago these big chain stores in general were not very good at helping and answering questions. I don’t know if it was women specifically or location of the store but I was definitely ignored many a time when trying to find someone to answer my questions. I’m so glad they’ve changed their business model so I can get the exceptional service I had today.

I went to purchase a blind from Home Depot. I was waiting around for a while, and asked to get it cut. They had someone go back to the flooring desk, who was probably on break or something. All I could hear her say was "Oh, yay, I get to go cut some blinds." And she was very unprofessional in her attitude. She was like, "it's something I haven't done in years." She cut the blind way too short, wasting my time and Home Depot's money. Needless to say, another big turn off was all of the piercings. That, to me, said a lot. If places want professional people, part of that would be to look professional.

Staff around the store are not always really helpful but it is a better HD than most.

Just at the height of the Christmas season. The store was crowded but well stocked. Everyone I encountered was friendly and patient.

Wow. Dakota the manager is awful! Never again will I purchase flooring from home Depot!! First off, I bought 103 case and didn't realize that they never gave me the bulk price, so already I was out $350... (Not to mention it took the flag waver 2 hours to get 3 pallets of flooring to the front of the store. A nightmare). I went to the store and stated that it will be past the 90 days by the time the flooring is complete (I'm building a new house) and they assured me I would at least get in store credit. Now come the day where I need to return 16 boxes of unopened flooring, with the receipt and they will do nothing for me. I wait THIRTY MINUTES to talk with Dakota and he wouldn't even come to the customer service desk. He sent someone to tell me to call a number on the receipt. There was no number on the receipt. Way to go Home Depot. Educate your employees and hire a better manager, so your customers don't lose thousands of dollars. If you need great customer service see Tom (the manager) in building materials at Menards. We will be buying the rest of our building needs there and no longer going between the 2 stores.

Very nice employees, young, shorter guy with a beard is extremely nice to employees and his customers! Makes a lot of his employees laugh and makes it seem like a great place to work
