Great service overall. Get peace of mind. Service fees are extremely high when you figure you’re basically loading your own documents in and doing most of the work. I would recommend if you have a complex return. Otherwise I would save the difference of other services ($200) and do them yourself.

Hi price for incorrect service. They made mistakes on my state taxes. Paid H&R block over two hundred and had to pay more to state for penalty.

Carissa has an extremely condescending attitude which wendy seems to encourage. They gave me the run around in my attempts to file an amendment to my taxes. I’ve waited 3 months and was just called a liar by Carissa, saying I didn’t have any documents uploaded which I in fact did multiple times, just to make sure they did in fact upload. It became obvious they were doing everything they could to not help me. At first I was told to wait until after tax day and then the last time I talked to Carissa I was told I would have to wait until they were done with property taxes and extensions etc. apparently amendments are extremely difficult and time consuming for this office, so I would take them elsewhere. Que the but we had COVID excuse. We’ll that doesn’t explain why you still can’t help me two months later. It’s been like pulling teeth trying to get this done.

We spent a total of 13 minutes on the phone with our tax preparer, she wasn't able to figure out how to share documents with us, or figure out how to facilitate a video conference and there was no technical assistance available to fix the issues. Then we were told we could view on line at our H&R block page. We were but not until we paid $404.00 for the service. Let me stress we paid for a service that we weren't able to validate. It seemed very expensive to have a 13 minute phone call for $404 for subpar service. We have been customers for over 20 years, this will be our last association with H&R Block. When asked why we weren't able to meet in person the response was that they were short of tax preparers and telephone appointments took less time. I understood the last two years with COVID protocol but H&R Block should be embarrassed that their customer service has sunk to this level. Not acceptable.

I had difficulty with authenticating/certifying the MyBlock account so I couldn't see the draft returns electronically. I spent over 2 hours with customer service related to correcting my MyBlock account and never got it resolved. The preparer wasn't as responsive as I was expecting
