They take advantage of people with out knowledge in mechanic field. My dad for instance he has dementia i tested his truck the fall before he brought it to this shop he forgets and they told him that intake was leaking causing vibrations due to a vacuum leak hmm when I tested it with water, carb cleaner it had no spikes in ideal or it didn't die with water . So now my dad is in nursing home im left with this problem that misdiagnosed and made worse due to coolant leaking out of the intake and rust build up form what ever they did. So if you don't have a clue with an issue with a everyday or street rod take it anywhere but here.

Scott at Monticello Auto Service was a complete professional from the moment I called. I brought my 2014 Kia Sorento to them from Cornerstone Kia after they said the engine was seized and quoted me a price for a engine that made me wanna vomit. I called Scott and he told me to bring it in to them and they will see what they can do. Scott called me the next business day and gave me the honest hard truth, motor wasn't seized but wasn't able to run due to having a bentvalve.
Scott was 100% honest with me and said most shops won't even touch Kias but he was able to find a used motor they would be happy to install if I decided. Me and my wife decided the vehicle wasn't worth the headache and decided to scrap the vehicle. But I will definitely use Monticello Auto again for there honesty and giving right information to me
