I went to cash a check and they had to verify it. I'm not sure what happened but I've never had this problem. the manager said she has to call and see if they activate it over the phone. she knew they didn't, I'm not sure why she just didn't save both our time and not do that, but proceeded to call. It felt shady, I had to cash my check through their app. remind you (imma member) and they held half of it. no big deal, I go to get gas and it says I don't have enough money. I look back at my mobile bank and it says they taken all of it. stay away from these banks and people. you don't want to know them, and have them know you. they only want things done their way. I have situations that they don't need to know. yet they try to bait you into doing things you don't want to do. now I'm stuck in this area, and can't go home. I just got back from the road and miss my family. these people are heartless. I'd leave 0 stars but that wasn't an option

I went to cash a check today and they said they can't do it. I am a member and I've never had problems. They tell me they have to call a center to see if they can verify it over the phone. The manager knew they couldn't but decided to do that anyways. Since when can a bank not cash a check for a member. Do not bank with these people. I had to cash my check via mobile, they held half of it which I was ok with. I try to get gas and it says I have insufficient funds. I am currently not from the Fargo/moorhead area. I am now stuck at my bosses place and can't go home. These people are snakes and only want to have things done their way. I'd leave zero stars but I van do 1 at the lowest. These people are vultures and stay away from them. They know what they are doing and this branch needs to be shut down.

Your money won't be safe here, they don't do anything to protect their customers from fraudulent charges placed on their debit cards.Response to owner.I got charged for products that never shipped, never got valid tracking information for, and the merchant falsely claimed they never charged me because the product wasn't shipped. I cannot get a refund from the merchant, I've fought with their customer service, so I expected your fraud department to help. They won't help me, Magnifi Financial offers no protections for fraudulent charges to a debit card, it's between me and the merchant.Now I need a new bank card to ensure I don't get more fraudulent charges; I'm switching to a new bank that actually protects their clients' money.

We switched over from another "big" bank around the area and we have had zero issues with magnifi! They have been great and kind.We are extremely happy with their service and what this small CU offers.

I love this bank. I am leaving my once A+++ bank and moving everything to CMCU. They have accommodated our odd, whodathunk, complicated banking for years. I waited to make sure a small, local CU could do it - and they always do! We have been disappointed by our mega-bank for the last time!

Bullied me into switching banks because they didn't like that I was involved with Bitcoin then charged me $4k to close my account with them when I did.

If you are working with SBA do not come here they base your corporate credit off your personal credit and only accept credit over 700. So if you need SBA you will not qualify. You will find this out only after they pull your personal credit and waist a lot of time gathering information and completing applications. If you value your time and business as well as honesty seek a different lending institution.
