"The RFC is many things and in the other reviews, you will find the breadth of their offerings. What I think is more important is what and where the RFC is lacking.First, the RFC has only one barbell power rack. On a college campus, and for a facility the size of the RFC, this is inadequate. Often this leaves students and community members frustratingly waiting until it's their turn. This situation is only made worse by the fact that the three "big lifts" (squat, bench press, and deadlift) are all confined to the space around the power rack. As a result, most students resort to invading the athlete weight room to complete their workout in a timely manner.Second, as far as machine equipment goes, don't expect anything special. The RFC has the usual run-of-the-mill gym equipment: cables, free weights, leg press, quad extension, hamstring curl, stair stepper, treadmill, assisted dip/pull-up, lat pulldown, and chest press. While this is adequate for most, it lacks anything that makes the RFC distinct. Compare the RFC to the other gym in Morris, ELC on Atlantic Ave. across from DeToys which boasts everything the RFC has plus a smith machine, chest fly, boxing equipment, bicep and tricep curl machines, calf raise machine, etc., all available 24/7.Speaking for the student body, the RFC is a frustrating reminder of a service we wish the University wouldn't require us to pay for. Each year, students are charged an "Activities Fee" which, among other things, funds our membership to the RFC. This is problematic because, for many students, the programs, activities, and events hosted at the RFC seem to serve everyone except students. The RFC administration doesn't seem to understand why students aren't interested in a 7 AM body pump class or its personal trainers. What students want is an adequate facility with equipment that allows us to go above and beyond the traditional paradigms of "fitness and wellness." There are students who are interested in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and Olympic lifting, who lack the tools to engage and build interests with the RFC's meager offerings. As a collective, students would appreciate if the RFC reflects the wants and desires of students. All in all, if you're someone who likes to get their steps in bright and early, or are looking for a group fitness class, the RFC might have what you need. However, I would heavily encourage you to do a tour, ask one of the staff to show you around, and ask yourself if it is worth the cost. If you're a student, please be vocal and insist that the University puts more money towards the RFC and that the RFC Staff, specifically Monique Richardson, listens to the pleas of students."

I love this place. It has everything needed for a great work out. Lots of space, everyone is minding their one business and there's a track for walking/jogging.

This gym goes out of it's way to be family friendly and fully accessable, highly recommend for families. The RFC is equipped with two swimming pools (slide), full sized gymnasium for basketball, volleyball and batting cages. They have a 'play closet' filled with toys for the little kids, a walking track (strollers available), typical weight room with all machines/weights.They have a room you can rent for your kids birthday party, a large lounge area with smoothy bar. Going is a good family activity. The group classes are fun and personal trainers available.

Comp and rec pool very clean and hours to accommodate students and community. 60$ for monthly public pass is worth the facility. Lots of exercise offerings through the day. And a inexpensive sandwich bar, with coffee, smoothie, and workout drinks.

The gym is majority of cardio equipment or class exercises. Despite the RFC being located on the UMM campus it is not a facility that boasts state of the art equipment. In fact, the RFC lacks the ability to do much of anything in terms of weightlifting. Staff are hostile.
