“A funeral was held at St. John's which was for an old friend of my family. A full mass was requested and it was beautifully done with a male soloist accompanied by an excellent organist. Father Paul presiding. So well organized right up to and including the luncheon that followed.”

“Great people working for peace with justice and mercy. We all sing together for a half hour at 10:30 AM on Sundays, then have a service with music and poetry. We read from Lao Tzu, the Chinese philosopher, and have 5 minutes of silence. Many groups meet in our building, including another Methodist congregation, New City Church. We are in the Powderhorn neighborhood, close to Bloomington Ave and Lake St.”

“We aren’t members here, but my son attended their vacation bible school and youth pursuits summer programs this year, and I have nothing but amazing things to say. After the first day, all the instructors and volunteer kids knew my son’s name. Everyone has been so great and I cannot say enough good things about them. We will be back next summer and plan to participate in more youth activities if they are available. It’s nice to see a church so welcoming even to non-members.”
