Thank goodness there was a sign that said to call on the call box because I definitely didn’t think I was in the right spot.I went on a Sunday an hour before closing & it was busy in there! I liked the bin/pile at the back so I could find some good deals. The items marked/priced that were hanging we quite a bit outside my price range. For example, a lot of the old graphic Tees were $40+. Tons of more gender neutral and very casual finds - I was hoping to find a dress or skirt but those items were slim pickings.Thank you for having a dressing room as well! (It’s the little curtained off area at the front)”

“Probably my fave card shop in the metro. It's very cozy and welcoming. Huge variety of everything. I especially like the sit down area where you have plenty of elbow room to go through stuff, without feeling pressed to buy something or rush through the process. They are also very reasonable in negotiating prices of used items.”

She is beyond experienced - hearing her rapidly doing calculations off the top of her head after just looking at a garment is really impressive. She did a rush job on a long dress for me with what turned out to be a tricky fabric/seam.I also appreciate how good of a listener she is when it comes to how you want a garment to fit - I never felt dumb asking about any of my requests and as far as I'm concerned she can work magic.”

“Fashion Avenue has been a source of great clothing for me over many years. I think it is the best women’s consignment shop in the Twin Cities. Everything in the store is consignment, several things appear to have never been worn as they still have original sales tags on them.They only accept items in excellent condition. Every garment item is clean and looks ready to wear. I find many special occasion dresses, shoes, and purses here – and have bought more than one coat or jacket that I absolutely love.Name brands that discerning shoppers look for are consistently here, like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Neiman Marcus, Aknvas, Dior, and Gucci. I also like the brand Soft Surroundings. The owner/buyer has exceptional taste and amazing connections across to get fabulous pieces and offer fair prices. The clothing selection is what draws me in, but I’ve also found just the belt and sandals. great handbags and other accessories. A few men’s items are usually there.This is a great place to shop for one-of-a-kind, better-than-average clothing. The lighting is good for seeing true colors; sometimes I talk my potential purchase to the big front windows where natural daylight helps me make good color matches. They do provide changing rooms. All sales are final – which is important to know when making an “iffy” choice.I like supporting this consignment store and have purchased a gift card multiple times to share the experience with others.Parking can be challenging. Its location is wonderful – nice and central. The staff is also helpful and friendly.”

“I stopped in to Antiques on Mainstreet to find specific items to use for shelf decorations, like old books. It's always tough going in to an antique shop with specific needs as you never know what you'll find. Anyway, the store is two levels and set up with individual stalls for each vendor. The basement has a large collection of books but unfortunately they were a bit high for me (although totally fair priced). Good variety of items although it felt like at the moment, they had less decor and more collectibles, broadly speaking. The workers were all nice and offered to let me put my items down while I shopped. Definitely a place to stop by if you're on the hunt for antiques or just enjoy browsing!”

Through the years, it wasn’t convenient to visit so I never got around to it until fall of 2022.I recently moved to the area and am needing use what I have (my gift card) and get more familiar with what’s around for shopping options. I can feel a little out of place in Wayzata at times, but when I visited the staff were warm and welcoming.• they greeted me• asked if I was looking for anything• started a fitting room• shared smiles all the way to completing my purchaseThese things helped me feel comfortable and that I belonged. “Great place to find that rare item you didn't know you needed or couldn't find other places. Everything from jewelry, art, sterling, furniture, etc. With items always making their way out and new items coming in, this is a fun shop to check out when in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful, parking lot available out front.”

“It seems like I first went in here a few years ago but it's probably been a decade or more. As described they sell a wide variety of used, fun and funky stuff. There is a good emphasis on used clothes and decor of a general cool vibe. I hit this place occasionally for their erratic selection of used music - there are lots of lps but also cassettes, 8 tracks, and CDs. There is a marginal attempt at organization but overall condition is beater/player grade and pricing is haphazard at best. That being said I can say comfortably I have found some amazing gems in here over the years. Lots of keepers and a couple that I ended up trading away. You do have to pick through for clean discs but I've found sealed vintage Jazz lps here and cheap. They also have a similar erratic selection of odd stereo stuff. Some good, some eh, but that's the fun of this place. If you like a fun place to find hip used clothes and music and lunchboxes and Knick knacks, stop by. You can always find something fun.”
“Trying on dresses with Nikolina was the highlight of my wedding dress search. Even my less vintage-inclined friends were impressed with her incredible design knowledge and the vision she cast for modifying each piece to create my own personal aesthetic. She was so fun to work with! Shopping through their selection does require some imagination, but as someone who loves envisioning possibilities, this was half of the adventure. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to create a personal and unique vintage dress or revive a historical piece with sentimental value - you won't regret taking the time to imagine with Nikolina.”
