In early February of 2022 we signed a contract with Haggerty Windows & Siding in Urbandale, Iowa to have our home re-sided, roof re-shingled, new gutters installed, and all of the windows replaced. They recommended Lindsay Windows to us. At the time that we signed the contract with Haggerty, the lead-time on windows was 3-4 months. So we expected work to begin on our home by June of 2022. But instead we waited ten months for the windows to finally arrive in December of 2022. Then we had to deal with some quality issues with damaged laminate, screens that did not fit, broken glass (shipping), and exterior paint chipping. This was frustrating to deal with after waiting ten months for the windows to arrive. Obviously quality workmanship, but especially quality control, was lacking. Over the next few weeks most of the quality issues were repaired and/or replaced by Lindsay, with a lot of help from our contractor Haggerty. So 'finally' the windows were able to be installed by Haggerty Windows & Siding in March of 2023. Then Haggerty was also able to begin the rest of the long-delayed remodeling work on our home by April. This was a full year after we signed the original contract with Haggerty, all thanks to multiple lead-time changes on windows from Lindsay. We thought that was the end of our horror story with home remodeling and windows. Wrong! Just this week we noticed that two panes in our three-pane front living-room window have what look like squeegee marks on the inside of the thermo-pane glass. This was confirmed to us by a professional window cleaning service. My wife has since done a closer inspection of all ten of the new Lindsay windows in our house, and she has found other glass window panes that have what look like squeegee marks on the inside of the thermo-pane glass. A squeegee is not supposed to be used to clean the side of the glass that has Low-E film on it. This is a disgusting discovery, since it is unfixable! My advice right now is to be very leery of this company because of their quality control issues.

Their windows are nice...until you have a problem. Their service department struggles to perform warranty replacement for product failures. I had a window crack (for an unknown reason) and requested replacement. They would not make the replacement window until I paid them $400. It took 3 months before they'd first attempt to install. I'm now on the 7th month of waiting for the replacement to be installed They cancelled on me 3x and i had a scheduling conflict on another time. I'll call the day before to confirm arrival of service folks, then the day arrives, no one shows as confirmed, and there is a follow-up call.."sorry we didn't get to you".If I'm to replace windows in the future I don't believe I'll consider Lindsay.

I ordered a number of Lindsay replacement windows through a local installer over a year ago. It took six months to arrive (which may or may not be the installer's schedule, but when I placed the order, the stated estimate was early July. The installers claimed to receive the windows in late September.) But the real issue that remains unresolved to this day is the fact they manufactured an obscure window incorrectly and will not accept responsibility for the error. I ordered an obscure window so neighbors can't see into my bathroom, but what I got is a window I can't see out of--but everyone can see into--so directly opposite of anything I'd spend money on. If they had any quality control at all, they'd never have shipped it. If they had any credibility at all, they would have replaced it immediately. My installer tells me they claim they couldn't have made such an error--but they did. I haven't flipped my house inside out so the window is installed opposite of manufacture. They screwed up and need to fix it. It's immediately obvious to every single person that sees my windows, except them. Avoid.

I would not recommend Lindsay Windows to even my worst enemy. We did not choose Lindsay Windows, our builder did, and it's been the biggest mistake. We have had nothing but problems with our windows and our patio doors don't even open. Their customer service is even worse than their products. We have had 3 service appointments that we had to take time off of work for and the repair guy didn't even show up, so 3 vacation days wasted from work and still no solution or repair to our problems. Save yourself from this nightmare and use a different company.Services: General door installation

Our home was built in June of 2022 and 2 of the windows now have stress cracks.only 7 months out. I've been in contact by email with a representative by the name of krista mcgugan, which stated that her and her supervisor reviewed the pictures that we sent and both agreed that they are covered by a one year warranty from the time of installation. But then referred us to a distributor for us to purchase and then sent us an email stating that the windows were purchased over one year ago and would not be covered. So, when it comes to customer service and warranty from this company, I would not recommend them to anyone.
