Don’t go to this bank unless you like too not be able to access your own money in your checking account.

By far the worst Bank and customer service I have ever received. I have been banking there for over 15 years. They switched over to merchants from First National and right away the employees changed, the rules changed and I was treated rudely by the establishment as a whole. There are plenty of other options here in Northfield I would recommend taking your money elsewhere

They should win the worst small bank award. It's like 1980 all over again. This bank is a joke. It won't make it past 2021. A true representation of a pathetic institution and a clear reason why FDIC guidelines were put in place for small banks.

I was hoping the switch from First National to Merchants would give some benefit to make the big hassle of changing my routing number and card number for countless things worth it, but it really hasn't. From day 1, there have been so many technical difficulties that I've had to put some stuff on hold until I could get through to someone over the phone who actually knows how to solve something. I was really hoping the worst part of the transition would be the loss of historical value, but it turns out everything is worse.

I wanted to express how fortunate First National Bank is by having such a great employee in Jodi Lawson. This is why people need to do business with a small town Bank. Unfortunately today there are so many scams out there and she helped prevent a customer from being taken advantage of and possibly loosing a lot of money. Special thanks to Jodi Adams Lawson!

Went in with $100 in half dollars and I was told that because I don't have an account they would need 10% of it as a fee. The coins were already in $10 stacks, and they already knew that. And besides even if you had to count them individually these are half dollars and it takes me about a minute and a half… Just seems pretty criminal... also I just moved back to town from out-of-state and was thinking of choosing a local bank… Not these guys! Also I will save it I have worked in customer service and I know that all you needed to do is to just say that you would really love me as a customer and ask me if I wanted to sign up for an account. The way that you handled it just made me really turned off to think that you would want $10 out of 100 just to count some half dollars. Do you realize how easy it is to count half dollars? Just seemed really lazy, unnecessary, and dismissive of a possible new customer. ✌ï¸

I love them!! The customer service is always great. Being a family always on the go, accessing our accounts from afar is very important. They always return our phone calls, are always helpful, and everything works! I've only had one problem with online banking and when I called, I got a live person (no automated crap) who helped me step by step until we figured out the problem. I opened up accounts for my kids as well and the lady was so patient and friendly, it made their experience quite pleasant. Deposits are in there when they are supposed to be and electronic transactions come out promptly, which is awesome. I don't have any complaints, really. I have just consistently had good experiences with them that when a mistake happens, it doesn't bother me. :)
