Rebecca Jimenez is a excellent employee of the Northfield Merchant Bank. She has been helpful on many occasions to both my husband and myself. Her attention to details and patience is appreciated and we always look forward to working with her.

It's been a tough year, this past 2020. I can't imagine what is was like trying to transition from one bank ownership to another, do a downtown remodel, stay connected with a loyal group of customers who loved their old bank, and doing it all during a pandemic! They have done a great job and I think they deserve an unsolicited five star review.

The biggest disappointment of 2020. This bank is a joke. It won't make it past 2021. A true representation of a pathetic institution and a clear reason why FDIC guidelines were put in place for small banks.

Since the transition to Merchants I have been disappointed. None of their online systems seem to work properly. I’m frequently locked out of my account, or purchases are blocked from going through with no one to contact after hours. Customer service reps are very helpful and kind.

First national bank is so fortunate to have such a great employee as Jodi Lawson. She caught a fraud scam that could have cost $1550. This is what the benefit is by working with a small town bank and Jodi who went over and beyond by correcting this problem.

I wanted to express how fortunate First National Bank is by having such a great employee in Jodi Lawson. This is why people need to do business with a small town Bank. Unfortunately today there are so many scams out there and she helped prevent a customer from being taken advantage of and possibly loosing a lot of money. Special thanks to Jodi Adams Lawson!

I went in to the downtown lobby to ask some questions about opening a business savings account that would be connected to an already-existing business checking account, and the teller was very rude and unhelpful. She acted like my questions were d*** and began speaking dramatically slowly to me when I expressed confusion. This really isn't how someone in customer service should act, especially when they work at a place as complicated as a bank. I don't bank at First National for my personal finances, so I'm not very acquainted with how things work there, and given how this experience went, I don't plan on setting up any more accounts with them.

Do not use this bank if you travel overseas. We had a kid stuck in Europe without access to account or cash. Visa/debit card didn't work on a weekend arrival and no way to contact anyone at bank or card services. When we did arrive at bank in person on Monday morning, they assured us 6 or 8 times they had fixed it. Each time they had NOT. Thwy suggested we wire the money through Western Union!!! Complete incompetence. Don't take the risk! And to buy a few 100 Euros, there is a $25 fee plus 5%. No offer to waive fee even after our terrible prior experience. They just didn't seem to care. "Thanks for your concern" is the response.

The receptionist was really uncomfortable around me. Didn't say hi to me. Just looked at me like “yes, what do you want?†And the banker she referred me too was equally uncomfortable with me. Not sure why. I was dressed in professional wear. Heels and all. Perhaps the clientele they work with are older and look more like them. I'll take my business elsewhere.

1984 Jesse James Hockey Tournament. Paid a visit to see the historic standup by the townspeople. Stayed with the Gorvins whom had a restaurant nearby. Best damn waffles in the State. Used to own Gambles hardware in KASSON. Great folks. Jeff G. Used to coach. In the days of Northland hockey sticks and Bobby Orr skates. Outdoor ice and blue toes. The real deal.....

My bank for 25+ years. Friendly, helpful people. Has up-to-date tools and resources. Has been great working with me on my mortgage during some tough times I've had.

For you history Buffs this is the bank where the shootout between the James gang & the townspeople happened in 1876. Look closely you can actually still see the bullet holes in the brick walls. Also they have a log book there showing the last transaction before the bank was robbed.
