I have had to use the emergency services for my dog and cat and received top notch care for both. We also received professionalism and compassion in our time of need. I am thankful for everything done for my pets!

The staff at AERC are fantastic. Not only did they take excellent care of my cat, but they also helped to calm a very emotional pet parent. My cat came into the ER with breathing issues. They started care for her, provided updates when she had to stay for two nights and even sent photos. Their compassion and care is above and beyond and I’m grateful that this service is available near me.

AERC was able to get my dog into a cardiology appointment on very short notice and I can't say enough good things about their staff and clinicians there. Everyone was incredibly kind and patient, my dog had a wonderful time even under the circumstances.

First of all, this place saved my dog’s life two years ago. When we brought her in, she was almost too weak to stand, but AERC was quickly able to diagnose and treat her and everyone was so kind and did a great job keeping us updated. Today my dog is healthy and happy.Recently I brought one of my cats, who has slowly been losing weight but otherwise does not look sick. Dr. Brown and Cassie took my concerns seriously, and I feel hopeful that we will be able to figure out what’s wrong. I’m very grateful.

We recently had to take our pup here for a foreign body blockage. The staff were so kind and informative and explained and updated us every step of the way. While our outcome ended up being surgery, they tried many different options along the way before advising us that surgery was necessary. We were very grateful for their patience, friendliness, and expertise in a tough situation. I can't speak to cost as our pup has never needed emergency surgery before, but I truly believe the level of care that the pup got justified the cost.

Dr Meyer and Lisa in the Dermatology clinic are fantastic. Our St Bernard would not be alive today without their diagnosis and treatment!

We took our cat to AERC for an echocardiogram and everyone we encountered were so kind. Dr. George did a great job explaining the findings and suggested multiple treatment strategies. I would highly recommend!

On Thursday, my wife and I had to bring Jack our 15 year old Yorkie in because he was having a possible seizure. The staff working took Jack's condition seriously and helped him right away. The staff was very kind and kept us informed with updates. When we met with Dr. Sara, we were given options. Due to his declining health, possible causes for the seizure, and Jack not recovering from it, we decided it was his time. Dr. Sara and staff were very caring even though my wife and I were a complete mess emotionally. The process was as painless for Jack as possible, and he was shown so much respect he deserved. Dr. Sara and staff were so wonderful to us and helped us through the process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during one of the worst days of our lives. Today in the mail, we received this card. The card was handwritten and personally signed by the staff. This is one of the most heart-felt things we have received. They only knew Jack for a few hours, and they sent us this amazing card!! Jack's main vet, who we went to for 15 years, just gave us a one line "sorry he passed, we canceled his appointment" email when we canceled his upcoming appointment. To say we were disappointed with his main vet was an understatement. Please keep up the outstanding work you all do, and I am indebted for the kindness you have all shown us. Thank you again!!

Last Friday night we sadly had to take our beloved 18 year old dog, Ziba, to the Emergency Hospital in Oakdale for euthanasia. Given the situation, every person who helped us at this difficult time was so empathetic, caring, and professional. We utilized their specialty services 2 years ago, and they helped Ziba live as long as she did thanks to their expert advice. We are so thankful for the wonderful people who work at AERC.

Very happy with the care of my dog. All vets I talked to were great. All other staff were friendly as well. We were from out of town and are so grateful that this facility exists. We need more of these outside the metro area and the dedicated staff who do this work. Vets do not get enough recognition for the job they do. Would also recommend that every new and current pet owner get pet health insurance.

We came in both times for an emergency visit due to our dog walking off all of a sudden and just wasn’t acting himself. The staff was considerate, understanding and patient with us and our dog who has severe anxiety. Didn’t push him to do anything, but got what they needed too done in order to evaluate him. As well, the triage phone calls are incredibly helpful and patient as well. Dr. Tess Smith did an MRI on Oliver and called when she was finished, instantly told me nothing “scary” was found, which allowed me to calm down. Answered many of my questions as well. We are just so thankful - our boy is back to his old self and we are looking forward to many more years with him. Thank you, seriously, for everything.
