“New owners took over a few months ago. The old owners were awesome and super friendly. No complaints about the new owners, but it's not exactly the same experience. Overall, there is not much else that has changed. Still the same stuff and not noticing and significant changes in price. Overall, still more expensive than many of the other larger liquor stores, but we don't mind spending a few extra bucks to support a small local store.”

“Very easy to get alcohol. They have most of what I want but sometimes they were out of stock Strongbows a couple of times. There is still plenty of other things I like though so that's fine. Staff is friendly!”

“Friendly little neighborhood liquor store that I am glad exists in an era of "megastores". Sure, you won't get an endless selection of booze from all corners of the earth or crazy specials driving you to buy something you don't really want. What you will find is a quaint little place without really loud music, without reps hawking free samples at you, and usually one that isn't full of a line. They do a good job keeping prices competitive with the big grocery stores nearby, but at the same time consider you're supporting a local business so an extra couple bucks can make a big difference in our community.”

“This review is a bit different. I came to this Cub Foods to check out the Mr Egg Roll food truck that was parked in the lot. It was facing 10th Street North. I had no problem finding this store. It's a huge supermarket with a pharmacy and a liquor store within the supermarket. It anchors a plaza with some cool stores, including a nutrition studio and Bierstude, a Germany eatery.I parked at this lot and ate in my car. What seemed weird to me were cars whipping by the parking lot away from Cub, passing by the food truck, and circling back to exit. It was like they would rather avoid customers walking in and out of Cub like it was cursed. I didn't need anything from Cub, but this one looked inviting. I'd love to go inside the next time I'm in this area. At least I got to park in their lot and got a feel for drivers and their weirdness. (65)”

“Yes, hyvee prices are higher than nearby competitors (this is my main draw back and why I'm rating the store only four stars). However, the store has a much wider selection. Take for example today when I needed a small salmon fillet. I checked at an unspecified nearby grocery store with considerably lower prices, but was unable to find what I needed. Any other day I would have found an alternative to save me the trip to another store, but with a wild adolescent weasel roaming my basement, I was not willing to risk it. Thankfully Hyvee had exactly what I needed-4oz salmon fillets are sold at their seafood counter! (fingers crossed the salmon works. Otherwise I'll need to find another way to lure out the vermin) One things for sure, next time I have to get bait for a wild animal in my house, I'll save myself the time and go to hyvee right away!”
