We needed to rent a log splitter, and had no issues here! The person that helped us showed us how to use the machine and was VERY patient with our questions. He treated us with respect and did not assume anything about our ability to handle the log splitter. Better price than competitors and good customer service.

I had a very good experience with their customer service. After picking up the trailer, I noticed a screw in a tire once I got home. Called and they were very helpful to exchange the trailer...no hassle, even though by the contract the renter is responsible for that kind of damage to the tires. As a perk, they extended the time for the inconvenience (he knew from our conversation at check out, that I was a bit concerned about getting the trailer back before they closed on Saturday). I appreciated the consideration.

I am not one to leave bad reviews often, however I have been renting here for many, many years. The service used to be great however over the course of the last couple years the customer service has rapidly gone down hill while the prices and “rules/ demands” increased for their renters. The owner is rude and so are most of the employees minus a few. They treat it as if your time means nothing and theirs is worth their weight in gold. These are some of the issues I’ve had that I’d like to share to alert others prior to spending their money here:-I have rented nifty lifts from them that I’ve received non-functional upon my arrival at my job sites meaning they were not fully tested after the last person dropped off prior to me picking up. I’ve had to bring them back and was not discounted at all for my fuel/ wasted time.-We called to cancel a rental a day prior to our pick up date and we were told that “they will cancel it for us this time however next time if we need to cancel a rental but don’t atleast 48hrs in advance we will be charged for the full amount of the rental even if we don’t pick it up.” I never signed a form or any sort of documentation agreeing to these terms and I told them that so I laughed and said try it and I’ll be disputing that transaction as fraud.-I have received equipment on empty but been expected to bring it back on full otherwise they charge you to fill it at an inflated rate (more than a gallon of fuel goes for).-I’ve asked that the equipment I’m renting is on a trailer upon my arrival (when getting a trailer as well with the equipment) so I can just hook and go in the morning, when I’ve shown up the equipment hasn’t been inspected, isn’t trailered, nor is anyone even working on it yet wasting on average 15-30min. Of my time each time while they do all these things after I had my morning planned around it being a 5-10min stop at most. This wouldn’t be an issue to most but when I have 5 guys standing around at a job that was supposed to start at 8:30am and I don’t get there with the equipment I need until 9:30am (mind you that’s roughly 5 labor hours wasted) because oakdale didn’t have there stuff together. When this happens I lose hundreds of dollars fast and they don’t care one bit.Those are just a few examples of the bad service experiences I’ve had just this year alone. I’ve continued to use them despite all of these bad experiences I’ve had to date in hopes that the service would improve.. we’ll.. it hasn’t.. this morning I decided I will be taking all of my business elsewhere after I sent one of my guys in to pick up a nifty sd64 from them, They stated that I didn’t have a card on file (all though when I have gone in myself to pick up items I’ve never had an issue getting anything without presenting a card for each transaction) refusing to rent my guy equipment without my presence to sign for the BUSINESS card, not a personal card. I’m roughly 1hr from their store 1 way and this time on another job already so I can’t leave to come sign. They said I could fill out an online form however you have to print it and bring it in, it’s not able to be filled out via electronically like they say or at-least not from a mobile device. I told the owner I would be taking my business else where and she said fine (because at this point I was cursing a bit, who wouldn’t be after all of these issues in just 1 summer alone?) after our conversation she proceeded to walk out of her office and told my guy that she would no longer be renting to us (trying to make it sound like us parting ways was her decision to everyone of her peers and humiliating my guy). He laughed said he didn’t like renting from them either and walked out.Ultimately by us making the decision not to rent here anymore because of their customer service we lost a large amount of revenue however I’d rather lose money than be treated like s**t by a business we pay thousands of dollars to each year. Good luck renting everyone, these days you’re better off just buying if you can!

Horrible experience! I would never recommend them to anyone! Ordered a half yard of concrete from their mixing plant and they were way short. Asked for a refund as any legit business would do when they screw up and the guy says no way we will refund you. Horrible business and horrible customer service! Never will use them!

I rented a excavator.the dropped it was condescending to the point i was just going to tell him to take it back. He also didn't feel comfortable leaving it there even know its gps. Insured im a licenced building contractor also insured. But yet i had to deal with this mediocre man. Telling how it is. If they didnt want rent it. To me they just shouldn't haveI wont be back i use a1 rental. Or ready rents. There a better business

I purchased concrete mix here two different times and was shorted both times. They think 2/3 yard gravel and 1/3 yard sand will give you a full yard of concrete then had to deal with hostile staff when I mentioned it both times.Another time I rented a concrete cut off saw and they insisted I owed additional money for blade wear but the thing is I used my own blade.Bad customer service all the way around!

Is it too much to ask to update your webpage to 'Winter Hours'Water coming up through sewer drain and needed power snake to clear it. Hejny is closed on Sunday and says so on their website. Oakdale Rental has a piece of paper on their door that says winter hours 'Closed Sunday'. ORC website says they are open today 9 - 2. NEVER AGAINHejny only.

I rented equipment with a known problem and was not informed. I was not told how to deal with it and it cost me allot of money for rental time and sanding pads. I ended up renting a floor edger from Menards that worked perfectly. No, they did not offer me anything for the trouble.

PLEASE READ!!!There are more unfavorable reviews of this place for good reasons. I rented a stump grinder from here only to notice it was leaking hydraulic fluid. I returned it for another, but that one just stop running before I could get much of anything done. Not only was the whole day wasted but they had to come pick it up and then charge for the day plus maintenance fees. The owner lied to me and said that six of the teeth were missing. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!
