I’m super bummed to give a local place one star, but my experience unfortunately was negative. I scheduled an appointment for a haircut a week in advance and showed up a couple of minutes before my appointment time. I was acknowledged when I came in and told that the person I was scheduled with would be right with me. Unfortunately, I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for anything else to happen. I wasn’t acknowledged again and I was trying to be patient, but certainly wasn’t going to risk a rushed service. After 25 minutes of waiting, I decided to just cut my losses and leave. I wish they would have let me know in advance that they were running behind so I could accommodate or change my schedule, but instead I just wasted a bunch of time. Disappointing, and truly hoping for everyone else that this is a one off situation.

First time getting a brow tint but Gaosue explained the process, went with her recommendation as a first timer to go with tint instead of henna. She was thorough, took her time, so friendly the whole time. When I saw the results it was a bit of a shock as I had never seen my brows so full and Gorgeous! They look so good, ill be going back to Gaosue her work is very very goodServices: Eyebrow shaping

I've gone there twice now for a perm. I have long and thick hair. The stylist didn't seem to care WHAT I wanted. She was going to do what she was going to do. I wanted something curlier and she said no because my white hair would frizz. I only have white hair around my face - the rest of it is brown. She also put WAY MORE hair in one roller than I thought she should. I got a perm twice a year - EVERY YEAR - from 1976 til about 1992. I also like a stylist that will talk to me a bit. The stylist I've had couldn't wait to get away from me and to her phone or whatever else. I DID get 2 perms (that pretty much fell out 3 months in) but I won't be returning to this salon. If I'm going to drop $250+ - I'd like to get what I want and have my stylist actually talk to me a bit.

So I went in for a simple haircut...It was ok. And it really was a simple cut. Just bangs but the bangs are weirdly uneven, such as, why are the pieces closest to the side of my face/eyebrows shorter than the center bangs covering my forehead? I said I didn't want straight cut bangs, but this way of "un-even" bangs are too weird.Edit: The photo of my "uneven" bangs is below, where you can see it's a lot shorter and thinner closer to the side of my face than the center bangs, it's just too weird for me.And then, even before the cut, when washing my hair, the lady got soap all into my ears and did not rinse it all off or even towel it off. When she was brushing out my hair after washing for the cut, we all know what left over soap in the hair sounds like, especially touching it or brushing through the suds, it's a splotchy, wet slush sound....I was really annoyed she didn't rinse me thoroughly and got so much soap in my ear. She also purposely faced me away from the mirror so I wouldn't see...unfortunately I'm not deaf, lady, I really can hear the leftover shampoo in my hair.Yes, I could've said something, but it was my first experience and I just wanted to see how professional this place was, and something obvious like fully rinsing off the shampoo...and getting soap out of a client's ears...I feel that should be common sense for a licensed hairstylist, something we shouldn't have to say.I paid $65+ for a soapy haircut, and had to dig out soap from my ears even after getting in my car. I won't be going back.

I have been seeing Gaosue as my hairstylist for a little over 1 year, but will no longer be using her services due to a series of unfortunate business practices that she has employed. I scheduled an appointment with her for a full balayage service on my grown out hair. Prior to my appointment I had sent her an inspo picture and when she was finished it was way darker than I had expected.I was immediately unhappy with the results, and contacted her within 14 days, expressing my dissatisfaction. She assured me to just use a purple shampoo and to wait for the toner to fade out and that the color would correct itself, this did not happen. I continued to contact her the next few days, explaining that the color was not changing, and by that time, 7 days had passed, and she told me that due to her policy, she would not fix my hair for free, she offered to fix my “money piece” for free. and I would need to pay for a color correction. I tried to be understanding and decided to give her another chance. She squeezed me into her schedule, rushed through it, and wasn’t able to allocate the time necessary for my hair to process. As a result, the top half of my hair didn’t develop properly and the appointment concluded, leaving me with brassy orange in my hair as opposed to blonde (see pictures below).I scheduled a new balayage service with her months later and shortly after, I contracted COVID. Despite quarantining for two full weeks, I continued to test positive, and so I reached out to her at least half a week in advance of my appointment, with these details, asking to cancel the appointment until further notice, and requested that she refund my deposit. She refused to work with me, stating that a policy is a policy, and that rescheduling, even this far in advance, would be a strike against me, and she refused to return my money. She has been extremely unprofessional and is not very understanding. As someone who works in the beauty industry myself, I would not recommend working with her for hair services.Services: Balayage
