Frustrating Membership Cancellation ExperienceI am not from Minnesota and was in town for a funeral for a family member. I was looking to pass the time and decompress from the stress of losing a loved one at a nearby Hand and Stone. Since all the other kinds of spas near me were booked I settled on the Plymouth location in a sketchy strip mall in the middle of no where. I should have taken this as a huge RED FLAG and listened to the reviews!! I was bombarded by the Manager Nicole after my facial and she was shoving the subscription down my throat to seemingly get her commission check.I called the Hand and Stone location around the corner from my house here in PA to see when my next charge date was because it wasn't listed ANYWHERE on any of the documents they gave me only to find out that the Plymouth location charges significantly MORE than the location near my house!!I immediately called and attempted to cancel my membership at Hand and Stone in Plymouth, and unfortunately, the process was far from smooth. My interactions with Nicole (the Robotic manager) who handled the cancellation, left me extremely dissatisfied. She quoted policy after policy with no ability to make any kind of discretionary accommodation.Firstly, the communication was lacking. I expected a more transparent and cooperative approach when addressing membership cancellations. Nicole's handling of the situation felt unprofessional and unsympathetic to my concerns.Moreover, the difficulty I encountered in canceling my membership was unexpected. It's disheartening when a business makes it challenging for customers to end their memberships, creating unnecessary hurdles.I believe that a customer should be able to cancel a membership with ease, and my experience at Hand and Stone, particularly with Nicole, did not align with this expectation. I hope that Edward, who is the owner of this establishment, and "doesn't call anyone back" - per Nicole, takes note of these issues and works towards improving the cancellation process for future customers and would have the decency to provide exceptions as a business owner rather than suffering all these negative Google reviews.Overall, my experience was excruciatingly difficult and disappointing, and I would caution others considering a membership at Hand and Stone to be aware of potential challenges / horrible customer service when trying to cancel.

I was transferred here from the Maple Grove location because they were booked.Tried to schedule a couple's massage with my husband two weeks in advance, and they assured me he could give his details when we got there. Someone called me at 6PM the night before saying they couldn't book us without the information. I gave it and was called back half an hour later and told they didn't have the time slot after all. Very disappointing.

My mother just got her a massage here. she stated that the lady that massaged her basically rubbed oil gently on her. she requested for more pressure. there was no pressure at all. the lady also had long nails that scratched my mother's back. Seeing that there are many other reviews similar to my mother's description of her massage, I would 100% not recommend this place. My mother also stated that the lady kept washing her hands after rubbing oil gently, which seemed to waste a lot of time.

Lost my business. I needed an emergency massage due to my neck getting out of wack and needed something sooner because of pain. Been going to this place for awhile. Requested someone els and got a person strength that was not what my previous massage person did. I made specific request for a certain touch. The person did there job but the style was too hard. Make my neck issues worse. I asked for someone els and they did fulfill it but because I was contorted instead of massaged it made my neck worse. I asked to be compensated by making up the lost time and was not and never gave me a good answer. I requested everything and was very direct and was not givin the service I requested.basically had no sympathy. The massage therapist are greate but management is garbage.

Don't go here for a couples massage.....or anything. Their website is extremely deceiving and management handled the situation horribly. They are scamming you...Save your money & don't come here!!!!

Left H&S Plymouth today with an injury after getting lip and brow wax service, and massage. The massage was very good. But the wax service was… not safely done! I have never had an experience like this in all the years that I have been getting lip waxing done. I noted that the technician used hard wax and then switched to another kind. She said this was the downside of “sharing a room” as someone had “messed with her wax pot” and now one was too cool and one too hot. I also noticed that she smeared wax way out to my cheek than I have ever experienced before. When she applied the final antiseptic cream, my entire lip area was burning. When I left the room, my cheek was not this bright red but after the massage, it was.The customer service at checkout offered to not charge for the lip wax service. But that does not make up for the fact that I am now scarred on my face.The services at this location have gone progressively from bad to worse. I was disappointed before today but now am very angry. They need to find competent workers and ensure safe practices.
