If only there was the option to have ZERO stars. DO NOT use or support this company, and certainly beware if you get into contract with a SIRVA Relocation owned home. They are unreasonable, uneducated in real estate transactions, have ZERO EQ or IQ with real estate sales, and have the worst customer service and response time ever. We, in good faith tried to negotiate the purchase of a SIRVA Relocation company owned home that has been vacant for over 7 months with a long list of major issues. We finally walked away given the horrible experience, and look forward to moving onto the right home without all of the major repair issues, with competent sellers.

This company is terrible. Please avoid using this relocation company. Recently relocated cross county and unfortunately had to use SIRVA. They are misleading and do not communicate. We have relocated in the past and have never had such an awful experience as with SIRVA. Dealt with multiple contacts within SIRVA and each was unhelpful and unresponsive. Stay away!

One of the worst experiences I've had. Moved from the US to EU and was supposed to get relocation/housing help included on the EU side. While the US side was good, the EU side was truly awful. The relocation agent did next to nothing on the EU side, leaving me to scramble at the last minute to find housing, telling me contradictory information, etc -- so many things went wrong it felt like The Twilight Zone - basically left to figure things out alone. Then was told there would be storage fees for the goods I shipped since I couldn't provide a delivery location on time. Truly a nightmare.

Company is racist and diversity and inclusion does not matter! I worked with this company for 3 months and it was a traumatic experience that showed me racism indeed exist in the corporate world...

I wish I could give 0 stars. But I do appreciate Yelp for stating that "businesses can't pay to alter or remove their reviews.", because the reviews on other sites for this company are definitely curated, as they are 4-5/5 everywhere else, except Yelp, which is currently a 1/5. So, I'm glad to be able to share my horrible experience with Sirva on a website that won't hide or bury it. So, anyways, I have done a few international moves and my employer provides relocation assistance using Sirva as a "benefit" (to help us!!), and Sirva also handles the money/relocation provision. Every time, I am left aghast at the manners, attitudes, and unhelpfulness of the agents at this company. They bombard you with different agents "who are all there to help", but if we email them with a question, they say that they aren't the right agent to reach out to and make you send your email to the next one. They also send emails containing walls of text that we are supposed to read and understand, because, God help you if you ask them to reiterate or clarify anything!! How dare you ask the "helpers" for help, right?! They even told me that my company is their client, not me. And even worse still, I stumbled across an email between two of their agents 'craptalking' me to one another. They seem very unqualified to help with relocation and interpersonal communication, and honestly, they are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope their management reads our reviews here and actually does something about it, or else I hope our companies sever ties with this terrible "relocation assistance" company.

My husband got a position at TVA and this was the relocation company that came as a "benefit." Our experience has been horrible. We wondered why none of the realtors wanted to work with them until one told us that Sirva wanted to take over 40% of his commission!

Absolutely horrible. They threatened our benefits if we didn't use their agents - who were inexperienced and had no sales track record. When we selected a top agent in our area, they undermined and threatened to pull the listing from her while we we're receiving offers OVER their asking price, adding paperwork and financial requirements that are not part of real estate transactions in our state (like an earnest money, which is not used in our state). On the sales side they seem to be trying to impede a normal sale so they get the buyout, and then try to turn it around for a profit. Either that or they are completely incompetent. Corporations should not offer a benefit that is not a perk but a nightmare and a scam.

They have offered me an insulting $200 discount for this material breach of out moving contract!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. They came as a "benefit" with my husband's job needing us to relocate out of state and they have been a nightmare all the way round. When we were buying our new house, we thought they had everything they needed but two weeks in, they added a laundry list of "new tasks" for us that we then had to jump through a million hoops to go get. They even had the gall to ask for permanent access to our bank account, so they could "check in" on our mortgage payments. Um no. And then on the selling side, it got even worse. Before we could list, we had to have 3 realtors come in and give us their thoughts on valuation, and then they, not us, decided our list price. We went with the realtor who really understood our neighborhood, and she got us an amazing offer on the first day we listed, which was honestly only $5K more than what she thought our house would go for, so not that far off. Well Sirva took over a week to get the paperwork together, because they had to ask important questions such as, isn't that offer too high, because we went with the lowest valuation of all he realtors and this is really far apart. Yeah, because the other realtors you sent in, don't understand the market & that's why we didn't pick them. Anyway, without paperwork, there's no deal or earnest money sent, and now a week later, our buyers walked and we're starting from scratch in selling our house. Meanwhile, we still have to move to Ohio on that timeline, and it's all because of how bad Sirva is. They've done nothing but cost us time & money. The only thing they've given us is anxiety. They're terrible & they shouldn't be in business, because they should literally have no customers. They're the absolute worst & we will be informing all of their corporate clients of just how bad they are.

They moved my luggage from Shanghai to Austin and it was the worst I've ever seen so far. I had two shipments, an air shipment and a sea one. The air shipment was supposed to arrive in few weeks and the sea one in 8 weeks, it took them 15 weeks to deliver both of them. The air shipment was reported "lost" in a transit airport and it took them 4 weeks to find it then another 6 weeks to leave the transit airport. They didn't move my stuff with care at all or even use a proper storage; a lot of my stuff came destroyed, had so much mold on them and there was a big dead roach in one of the boxes too. I requested reimbursement of the stuff that they destroyed and they want to pay 20% of the value of the electronics which aren't enough to buy even used replacement. I asked them about the policy and they sent me a file in Dutch that has information about the depreciation values their insurer uses (AON) and such terms are not mentioned in the documents that I signed and their insurer stated that the proposed settlement will stay as offered. I don't recommend them at all either for individuals or businesses, I know that my employer chose them because they were the cheapest option but sometimes cheapest means the worst.

If this company is involved in a home you are purchasing--RUN RUN RUN & FAST!! They keep adding demands, often unreasonable along with unnecessary. I have purchased & sold multiple homes, built two commercial businesses and never have I had such issues & problems. What should be a simple cash purchase is ridiculous. Sorry to owners of the home, but close to backing out. STAY AWAY.

As others have mentioned, get EVERYTHING in writing. We are now dealing with rejected claims of which involve expenses our Sirva agent verbally approved and even recommended. We'll reject any future involvement by Sirva in our professional relocations and manage it ourselves, which we know will be honest.

Sirva is the worst company I have ever had to deal with! I contacted Victoria Gaskil 3 times and she never responded back to me! I then went to her manager, Heather Amstutz. It's obvious by looking at reviews, the company cares little about customer service! When you pay 12k for a move and extra money to have full coverage with zero deductibles, you don't expect to be completely ignored and have it take 3 plus months to be reimbursed. Especially when you're not reimbursed for the full amount of damage! Having never made a big move I was unaware that multiple companies would be used. We started with Pheipho Storage and Moving, which at least they were friendly and tried to help through the process. One note - I highly recommend you pack your own items! We paid extra to have our lamps haphazardly thrown in a box. 2 lamps were destroyed. Sirva paid us less than half the cost of one lamp that was a pair. I cannot find a replacement. On top of that, they aren't even offering to pay us the amount we paid extra to have them packed. They also refused to pay me any amount for an end table that had gauges missing on two legs and a large chunk out of a corner, because I colored in the gauges with a stain pen. I did so, because I was tired of looking at them. I didn't know I wasn't suppose to do any "repairs" because I didn't get an email until months later, even though I sent Victoria 3 emails asking my claims status . Apparently Victoria sent an email after I filed my claim, stating I wasn't supposed to attempt to fix any thing. Too bad she sent it to the wrong email address. They even had pictures of all the damage! Avoid at all costs!

Regardless of the price quoted I would never do business with this company and run away from them quickly. I worked with the claims part of this horrible company. After University Moving and Storage completely mismanaged my move and lost and damaged items of significant value I had to deal with this company for my claim. They assigned the very unprofessional and despicable Keith Holman, a claims representative, to cheat me out of my ability to place a full legitimate claim and get fully and properly reimbursed for all the things lost and damaged that belonged to me. He immediately treated me like a criminal as if I was lying about everything that I was claiming which was forever lost by the moving company during shipment. University Moving completely mismanaged the moving process so incredibly badly that they were trying to bring in other people's belongings into my home. It started off horribly when they failed to put numbers on the boxes as identification of who owns the boxes of belongings. Needless to say I never received those boxes with those personal belongings. Keith made sure that his company would get away with paying out as little as possible on my claim regardless of the amount that I claimed and the substantive evidence and details that supported my claims. So in the end you can plan on getting cheated out of what the insurance that you purchased is supposed to deliver for you. Keith successfully cheated me out of a significant amount of money that was due to me for lost and damaged items. It seemed that he took great pride in doing so. Keith Holman was incredibly rude and arrogant as his basic natural approach which is really sad and pathetic. Never did he treat me like the paying customer that I am; and same goes for his boss who was incredibly rude as well not having any clue how to treat me like a paying customer. They showed zero interest in being helpful to me as a customer and instead their main focus was to dispute as much of my claim as possible to get away with paying out as little as possible. Keith's approach was one that seemed to be very attack based. I tried to provide Keith with all of the emails supporting my claims of lost items and he told me on the phone that he wouldn't consider all of them and that's exactly what happened. And unfortunately no one held him accountable to having integrity and professionalism and performing his job properly. So working with Keith was like working with the wall. It didn't matter what you told him and the proof you provided him of missing items he was not going to allow you to properly claim what was legitimately lost. He made it very clear from the first moment that I interacted with him that he was on a mission to make sure I get CHEATED and give me a little as possible back for reimbursement for lost items, certainly nowhere near the value of what they lost or damaged .
