Marvin George Builders, founded in 1966 as a lumber yard, has evolved into a full-service hardware, rental, and lumber center. In 1972, the business expanded into the hardware industry, and in 1980, it relocated to its current 30,000-square-foot facility. In 2000, Marv's added power equipment sales and a small engine repair shop, and in 2004, it launched its rental business, which has been growing ever since. Marv's is known for its helpful staff, who provide "dead on advice" and are willing to go the extra mile, as evidenced by the story of a customer who ran out of gas on the highway and was assisted by a kind employee. While the store may be a bit more expensive due to its small size, customers appreciate the wide range of products available, from home improvement supplies to pet food. Marv's also offers excellent rental services, making it a one-stop-shop for many community members.
