We bought furniture at A & W Furniture. When we went into the store we picked out a butterscotch colored sofa. Then she showed us a butterscotch recliners to go with it. Here is what we got a brown sofa and brown recliners that are as big as love seats. And the love seats sinks down on the right side. I have to put extra cushions on the right side. My hips are really bad and this love seat recliner really causes me a lot of pain. I will never shop there again I will go out of town. I hate this store We Did not get what we wanted. Go out of town!!!!

Posting for my Dad:I acquired a dining room table set from Jane Vorwerk at A&W Furniture just before the store rebranded as Discount Furniture. Along with the purchase, I also arranged for the delivery of the dining room table, which included six chairs. The chairs were assembled at their facility prior to delivery. After the items were delivered and the delivery team left, I conducted an inspection and unfortunately found that five out of the six chairs were unstable and improperly centered. This was particularly concerning as the items were brand new and had not been tampered with by us in any way.I promptly contacted the company to address this issue, making it clear that both the table and chairs were in pristine, unused condition but had been incorrectly assembled. Regrettably, they declined to send anyone to correct the chair leg height, despite it being their mistake. I stressed the fact that I am physically unable to make these adjustments due to being wheelchair-bound, but my concerns were disregarded. Sadly, my final interaction with their staff concluded with them abruptly hanging up on me.

Exceptional service, competitive pricing, and nice selection and gallery showroom. Online shopping is nice too and if you are into boutique items, they have that, too!

Really disappointed. We bought a sectional in 2018, and in 2021, one of the seats broke. We tried working with the company but there is nothing they could do, unless we forked over more money to get it fixed. It was only 3 years old when it broke. Poor quality furniture, that’s for sure. I know we bought something a little cheaper brand, but it was still a decent amount of money for us. Just seems a bit ridiculous that we only got 3 years out of it. Looks like we will be shopping again, but unfortunately it will no longer be at A&W. We do all of our shopping now at Rooms and Rest in New Ulm.

This is the only furniture store I ever want to go to. The entire staff is extremely friendly and ready to help with whatever you need. Walked in looking for a sectional. Liza showed us a few different options based on what we were wanting. Walked out with exactly what we were looking for. I will always recommend this store. A great experience every time! Thanks again to the staff and in particular Liza for all your help and wonderful conversations.

I have found this store to be an exceptional location for design service, furniture selection and decorating ideas. The owners and the staff provide unique insight into matching available products with my visions. No matter who you deal with, the staff is polite, friendly, and goes over the top to make sure their customers are satisfied. I highly recommend this SW Minnesota furniture store! One of my favorite stores to shop at!

When in need of furniture it’s best to do a bit of research to select a reputable retailer. It’s always nice to support the local brick and mortar businesses and I realize negative reviews are the ones that draw the most attention and are most likely to be posted. That is why, rather than depending on a few rants from unhappy customers I focus on responses by the business to those complaints. In reading reviews of A and W Furniture and their response to complaints and negative reviews it’s apparent that the current proprietors are unwilling to take care of problems associated with deliveries, special orders or other issues that affect customer satisfaction. If there are any issues especially with delays regarding special orders, it’s the fault of the manufacturer; it’s the fault of the logistics company or the fault of COVID 19. However it is never the fault of A and W Furniture nor will they take measures to make the customer happy. As I peruse the negative reviews and moreover the responses by A and W to those negative reviews it becomes quite patent that if there are problems, customers will face punitive store policy and restocking fees. A and W Furniture’s novella length lists of excuses in response to negative reviews and their store policies make it evident I should shop Amazon, Overstock or Wayfair where in most cases the return policy is a “no questions asked” free return/full refund.It seems that Laurence J. Peter was right at least when it comes to those in charge at A and W Furniture. Good Luck.

I have attached the letter I received middle of July from your store. As the letter stated we were expecting the delivery to be about 8/24/2021. I waited another WHOLE week to hear from the business to address the delivery situation. I called Mike on 8/31/2021 and was told at that time the ONLY thing they could do is a store credit after taking 25% for restocking but in the same conversation he told me he would have this couch in MY living within 2 weeks. FAST forward to 9/19/2021.....still NO couch.After reading my husbands review which I agree with everything he stated and Mikes reply I see that the store is not taking any responsibility and standing behind what they are telling us for dates and delivery. I know i will get a response making it OUR fault that this couch is still sitting somewhere and there is nothing that they can do about it.All I can say is thank you Mike for teaching us a valuable lesson in customer service. Its sad you're sitting on our money and not helping the situation other than telling us dates upon dates for our couch. We also found out NOW that its a 25% restocking fee on only on our deposit but on the entire cost of the couch. Also, I feel I'm getting ripped off because he says that this couch we purchased would have a hard time selling it if he were to put it on their showroom floor. So apparently what we paid to begin with was way over priced. Here's to hoping we'll see a couch in our living by 2022.
