If you are a Karen this is the place for you. Decent area but terrible owners and management. Definitely need to find a new profession cuz resort management is not for them.

This resort is now owned by individual owners, cabins and campsites alike. We own one campsite. There are cabins and campers for rent, but there are no open campsites where you bring your own rig.

There has new ownership, but a very great place to experience an authentic Minnesota cabin. Fishing is awesome, and the heated pool is fun for the kids.

Well the new owners have done it again. For the second year in a row, they have kicked out all the seasonal campers. Apparently, 4 millenials are unable to keep up with the work versus the 77 year old previous owner, Bob. They are closing the business.

Nice resort, kid friendly and pretty well maintained. Pontoon rentals for a reasonable price, clean camping spots for campers and tents. Very close to atv trails too!

Balsam Bay Resort was sold this past year. We have been seasonal guests for many years there and loved it. Recently, the new owners gave us a month's notice to move out. When asked why, I was told via email that they were moving away from seasonal sites to transient sites. This turned out to not be true. The new owners have been showing new potential seasonal guests our seasonal sites while some of us have been scrambling to move out. In addition to not being truthful with us, they have refused to help us move our decks when we asked. It is unfortunate as the campground has gone down hill, including lawn mowing, trimming and bathrooms.

Our 7 year seasonal spot at Balsam Bay Resort has quickly come to an end. We have been respectful guest, who have taken the time to upgrade and maintain our site. Our site is actually posted on their website. They chose to evict all but 2 seasonal’s on Labor Day Weekend. When asked why, the only thing the said is “we don’t have to give you a reason”. Thankfully we had been looking for new places, after we had seen the lack of care they have for the resort and their guest, over the last few months. This is not the same resort that we had been coming to for years with our boys. The new owners have no clear business sense or respect for others or the community. I understand they may have new ideas on how they want to run the resort, but the changes could have been done better, with respect for the guests that have been there for 18+ years. Only giving them a couple of weeks to relocate big destination trailers was not respectable.

New owners just care about there pockets instead of the loyal people that have had lots there for years. Give no reason why they are kicking people out and run and hide when asked. Save your money and go elsewhere.

This nice seasonal RV park was taken over by new owners this spring. In late August they decided to evict most if not all seasonal customers in the RV park without giving much notice. They have treated loyal customers very poorly and unprofessionally. I sincerely hope they tank and go under.
