We stopped to pick up dinner last evening. We bought a chicken dinner for 4. It was the worst chicken I have ever had. The fried skin was so tough that I could not bit through it. The pieces did not pull apart. Instead, they broke apart. The chicken, potatoes, and sides were cold. We bought this at 5pm, we thought that at supper time, stuff would be fresh. I will never buy pre-prepared food here again.

I purchased corn from this HyVee on Thursday for a party and while I checked the ends of each cob in the store, I discovered that the rest were inedible when I went to cook them. I still have it a shot and cooked them but they were completely dry. When I took 3 of them back to show what the cobs looked like, the service manager would only give me a refund for those 3 rather than the 15 that I purchased. I’d recommend Aldi if you’re looking for a grocery store that focuses on customer satisfaction.

Impressed by the expensive non-organic food in this chain!
Some veggies rotted even stored in refrig just a few days after purchase yet no return w/o receipt despite tags still on and scannable.
Other local stores like Menards, etc, save each item purchased in their database so any item can be retrieved later. Why Hyvee can't do so? - do they care things but profits?

This review is for the hy vee north pharmacy in Rochester. 2 years ago I signed my autistic, blind and nonspeaking son up to receive his flu shot here. Due to my son’s intellectual delays, it is extremely difficult for him to wait in lines as the concept of waiting is just very hard for him to grasp. He also gets very overwhelmed from a sensory perspective in unfamiliar environments. I therefore signed him up online ahead of time to secure a time slot so we could get in and out quickly. As we were walking up to check in at the pharmacy counter, a group of people ahead of us requested to receive their flu shots as walk ins, and the pharmacy technician let them go ahead of us. My son proceeded to have a meltdown with having to wait and was very anxious. I was sitting on the floor in the middle of an aisle in the pharmacy blasting nursery rhymes for him to try and keep him calm. No one seemed to care or notice that he was suffering, and people walked around us like we were just a nuisance. I am still so hurt over the way we were treated and ignored 2 years later and regret not saying more about it at the time. The pharmacist who gave my son his flu shot was very kind and apologetic which I appreciated. Given that some time has passed since this incident occurred, at this point I just hope that the hy vee pharmacy staff as a whole will be more supportive to people with disabilities.

Wish they would get their pick-up system in check.

Doesn't sell beer or alcohol. Prices seemed somewhat high, but that is probably mainly due to incompetent Joe Biden.
